Mid-Year Grades

All grades were evaluated from January 1st to June 30th.

They Get an ‘A’

Right now, Matt and Jeff Hardy are the only true draws left in TNA. They’d be better served chasing singles titles if their bodies will allow it but right now the nostalgia tag team act is getting them by.

They Get a ‘B’

 Even if he isn’t a ‘star’ that can pull in viewers, Nic Nemeth is still a reliable competitor who really hasn’t lost a step in his late 40s. A second world title reign isn’t hurting either. Retaining and keeping Leon Slater, the face of the X-Division, should be the biggest priority. Rumored to be NXT-bound,  Mike Santana had a successful if uneven world title reign, marred by bad booking. Mustafa Ali continues to be the best all-around wrestler and character that TNA has.

The current X-Division champion, Cedric Alexander, has failed to have a bad match since joining up with TNA. Frankie Kazarian has become the company’s de facto bridge guy between eras, while being good enough in the ring still to warrant being a world champion, if only for a few weeks.

The Knockouts Division is at an all-time low, but thankfully, Rosemary is still able to carry strong feuds and storylines on her own.

They Get a ‘C’

Few guys have been as fun to watch as BDE. The System’s Bear Bronson & Brian Myers won the tag team titles but did little else.  Lei Ying Lee won her second Knockouts title but lost it almost as fast as she won it.  Moose has had some good matches with Eddie Edwards and the System. Ricky Sosa has all the charisma, but visa issues limited his impact. Injuries limited Trey Miguel, who got denied a spot in AEW to start the year, but he did win the International title this year. She may be the current Knockouts World Champion, but  Xia Brookside is far from the standard-bearer of past champions. Not much of a wrestler, but current KO Tag Champ Allie brings quality on-screen performances whenever she’s on the screen.

While having solid matches, AJ Francis has yet to make a major mark in 2026. Eddie Edwards is the leader of The System, but hasn’t done much else. Elijah deserves more. An up-and-comer, Jada Stone steals the show when she’s allowed on television. Even before his departure,  Steve Maclin had started to spin his tires. He may not win much, but the fans and the crew seem to love The Home Town Man.

The Elegance Brand keeps winning gold, but it never has a big moment. KC Navarro missed a lot of time due to injury and isn’t winning that much now that he’s back. A bad face paint gimmick couldn’t get Mance Warner over with TNA creative.

They Get a ‘D’

She may be a beloved vet, but Alisha Edwards offers very little besides a win for someone else. She has the look, but Mara Sade can’t seem to make memorable moments. It feels like Rich Swann is just there. Special Agent Zero has the size, but is limited in his role. Why did TNA sign The Righteous?

Good lackeys, not so great success in the tag team ranks describes The Great Hands. Even with her partner, Jody Threat, it wasn’t making must-see TV.

The Ronnie Garvin of 2026,  Eric Young,  is no longer dragging down television time. We want to like Harley Hudson, but TNA doesn’t seem to. Mila Moore is still around. After leaving TNA, Dani Luna has done even less.

They Get an ‘F’

No one wanted to see Daria Rae on television, not even her close family and friends. TNA spent a lot of money on Elayna Black only for her to remind everyone why she was fired from the WWE in the first place. Indi Hartwell is actively holding the division back. TNA has no idea what to do with Sinners and Saints. We’re not sure if it’s the hair or the body oil, but Mr. Elegance has flopped.  Victoria Crawford‘s comeback was anything but memorable.  Steph De Lander left TNA to return to wrestling, but her indie run has quelled any excitement for her. People only knew Myla Grace was on the roster because she was fired.

They get an ‘Incomplete’

An unknown illness/injury has sidelined Ash by Elegance, which is the only reason she didn’t receive an F. Out of the ring for nearly 18 months, Fabian Aichner is trying to prove he belongs. JDC retired with only one match in 2026.
