Destiny Update Locks Existing Content- The Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2 just dropped recently, and some strange changes came along with it. The strangest one of them is the new level cap of 25, which actually locks players who choose not to buy the DLC out of accessing the Prestige Raids and Prestige Nightfall missions just because they can’t reach the level because they choose not to buy the expansion.
My thoughts- This is a stupid, shady way of trying to squeeze more money out of a game that already has a bad reputation for having a broken micro transaction system in it to begin with. Hopefully they will fix this problem in the near future, but as it stands now, Bungie just gave me another reason to never play this game ever again.
Update- After receiving backlash for this issue, Bungie decided to release a patch on December 12 in order to fix it. Still shouldn’t have happened in the first place, but at least they are doing something about it.
Street Fighter Turning 30- The Street Fighter series is turning 30 years old next year, and to celebrate this occasion, Capcom has decided release a 12 game collection spanning the evolution of the franchise. It will release in May 2018 on Xbox One, PS4, and Switch.
The games included in this collection are:
Street Fighter
Street Fighter II
Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
Super Street Fighter II
Super Street Fighter II Turbo
Street Fighter Alpha 1-3
Street Fighter III
Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Lawbreakers Developer Leaves Company- Arjan Brussee, co-founder of Boss Key studio with another former Epic Games employee Cliff Blezinski, has decided to leave the company and return back to his former studio. Whether or not this is due to Lawbreakers not generating the mass appeal that they were both hoping for has not been revealed at this time, but there’s no denying that it played some form of a role in this decision, due to the game’s dwindling player base.
Quick hits- Custom shirts are being removed from NBA 2K18 without warning, Ubisoft pushes back release date of Far Cry 5, Nintendo Switch sells 10 million units, and the Super Mario Cereal hits store shelves.
