Into the Spider-Verse Cut Major Character and More!

In talking to Den of Geek, Phil Lord, the writer of Into the Spider-Verse revealed that Doctor Strange was supposed to appear in the film.  The idea was in the original script, three years ago, and featured Strange introducing himself to Miles Morales.    Though, no word on if it was supposed to be molded after the MCU version.

The first draft ended with (Strange).  Oh, that’s right! It ended with him saying, ‘Okay, I have some things to tell you…’ It was the first draft, like three years ago. It ended with Doctor Strange. Literally, the last frame was Doctor Strange, going, ‘Hello.’

There has been long talk of an upcoming Snake Eyes film, however bad news for fans of the first two G.I. Joe films; Ray Park seems like he’s out of the role.  According to SlashFilm, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura revealed that Park’s being tossed out of the roll due to his age.  as di Bonaventura said;

As you know in the comic book, you saw his face. And it is, I’ll say, the formation of a hero. So you’ve got to see somebody and it can’t be Ray’s age, unfortunately.

Which flat out sucks, honestly.  Park was and I mean this, the only good part of those first two films.  Boo this decision.  Boo this man!

Good news for us Orville fans, as a third season seems likely.  The California Film Commission announced that nine different series will receive a tax credit, and The Orville has a $15.8 million in credit.  While Fox has confirmed to ComicBook.com a third season hasn’t been ordered – yet, a tax credit that size is sure to help sway minds.   The big hangup will be how Disney wants to handle the Fox merger.  While the Fox network is not involved in the acquisition, The Orville is produced 20th Century Fox, a new subsidiary to Disney.  Will Disney want this show on the air?  We’ll find out.

Finally in some hilariousness, Deadpool‘s PG-13 offering for the sequel features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool hanging out with Fred Savage.  The pair are recreating Savage’s iconic role in the Princess Bride, and the two begin arguing about Nickleback.  It’s fantastic.
