Zach Snyder Wanted a Different Robin, Major ‘Joker’ Casting News

Zach Snyder Shaking Things Up – Zach Snyder has confirmed on Vero – his favorite social site for some reason – that no only was the dead Robin NOT Jason Todd, but it was in fact Dick Grayson who died at the hands of The Joker.

He also confirmed that Grayson wasn’t going to be done at all, and that Batman would be Robin-less until…Carrie Kelly.  She was the first female version of Robin in accepted lore, and became a big player in the Frank Miller Batman franchise.

Joker Casting News – Mark Maron is in talks to join Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro on Todd Phlllip’s Joker film, which seems to be in the finalization of rounding out the top portion of the roster.  Joining them is well known character actor Bryan Callen who is set to play a stripper.  Callen said to The Fighter and The Kid podcast that;

I’m doing the Joker. I was offered a part. That’ll be fun, but i think it’s only a couple days. Play an aging dancer, stripper. I don’t want to go into the details. I can’t go into the details, but just know it’s gonna be good. And I hope my psoriasis is flaring cause that’ll be very funny. I’ll be in a Speed-O, I can’t wait. I have some ideas for it.

Quick Hits – Jake Gyllenhaal has been seen hanging around London, England near the sets of Spider-Man: Far From Home; this is relevant due to the implications this potentially has on the rumor that Gyllenhaal will play Quintin Beck/Mysterio.  Timeless to get a special two part series finale at NBC.  Castlevania will see Hector of Curse of Darkness join the season 2 line up of characters.  Canonically, Hector secretly helped the quartet fight Dracula in Castlevania 3 as a defector from Dracula’s ranks.
