Actor Lumbly is no stranger to the J’onzz family, as he’s voiced the Martian Manhunter on the Justice League animated series.

DC Comics

Duke Thomas Comic Title Coming – Scott Snyer has announced that Batman: The Signal will be written by DC Talent Workshop alum Tony Patrick will be working. Snyder commented on the title, saying;

What I will say about The Signal, or Signal, is that Duke is a character I’ve had a lot invested in for a long time, and there’s been so many calls to get him his own book and his own name and his own story. But, I didn’t want to do it before I felt we had the right platform.

One of the reasons we put him in The Casting was to show his importance to us and spotlight the part of the mythology in Gotham that he’s actually essential to. So the other half of this, from just a logistics standpoint, is that I wanted this to be a place where I could bring in new talent.

The other thing I’d say is that I think it’s a really cool concept just in that, Joker is actually really open about it. We’ve hinted at in previous stuff, but, to have something that actually makes a hero-by-day for Gotham is actually really cool. It’s something we haven’t seen and gives Duke a mythology that is brand new.

Hawkman One-Shot Coming – Jeff Lemire has announced that he’s returning to DC to work on a new title alongside artists Bryan Hitch and Kevin Nowlan for “Hawkman Found #1”. The title is a tie in for the DC Metals series. Lemire will be working with Scott Snyder on a series of a Metal-tie-ines.

X-Men Universe Update – “Legion” produces don’t want the t.v. series to crossover with the film series, because they don’t believe people would want to watch it. Or as Luarne Shulder Donner said;

It has to exist on its own plane. It can’t ever cross over with the movies — or why watch it?

As for “The Gfited”, the producers echo “Legion” by saying they won’t crossover with the films, saying;

One of the great favors that Days of Future Past did for all of us is establish that there are many streams. One answer is that we exist in one of those streams. This is its own universe, we don’t exist in the same timeline as any specific movie or comics. But there are shared characters. We’re doing our own thing, and, as I say, there are many streams.
