Justin Roberts Speaks On JBL, Spike UK Has #IMPACTonPOP Hiccup And More – WrestleCorp News

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s edition of The News!! This is the day where I bring you all of the wrestling news you will ever need for your Sunday night. Why would you ever want to go through many websites, searching through various articles when all the news you need is here, on the best website, the top website, the number one website and quite frankly, the only website you will ever need, NerdCorp. Enough nonsense, let’s just get to the news shall we?!?!

Justin Roberts Speaks – Ring Rust Radio recently spoke with former WWE Ring Announce Justin Roberts on a multitude of subjects. When asked about JBL troubles, here is what he had to say…

“A lot of people asked me about it and I said I don’t know Mauro. I don’t know him at all and we never once talked. I don’t know his situation. All I know is the experiences that I’ve had which I clearly stated were in 2003 when that was happening with JBL. Case in point, after the incident with Joey Styles when he stood up to him and punched him, he basically disappeared shortly after that. When he came back, he was a much different person. That stuff wasn’t going on and the locker room had changed completely. So, when he came back it was a different world with different guys and a different mentality. The guys who were around in the early 2000s knew what happened and later on I don’t know what happened with Mauro. So I can’t say anything about that, but I did say when people asked me if he should be fired and I would say no. It’s not just something with JBL; it’s a mentality in the company. They like to ride people and I don’t know if that had anything to do with Mauro because again, I don’t know anything about his situation for sure, just the accusations that we have heard that are going around.”

Spike U.K. Has A Hiccup – Impact Wrestling had technical difficulties in its UK airing on Friday, as a rerun of last week’s episode aired instead of a new one. The Spike TV UK Twitter account addressed the issues on Sunday morning, revealing that they were investigating to determine what went wrong. In the posts, which you can see below, Spike has confirmed that they will run a double-header on June 2nd with this past week’s episode followed by a this week’s episode in its normal time slot. In the words of Gene Snitsky…

“That wasn’t MY FAULT!”

…Dive Mocked – During the WrestleCircus Lucha Carnival Show main event, which pitted Pentagon Jr, Rey Fenix & Juventud Guerrera against Shane Strickland, Sammy Guevara & Mr. 450, Orton’s ‘…dive’ controversy was targeted, in which Orton and Rip Rogers took shots at the indy wrestling scene.

During the match, 450, Strickland, and Guevara went to the top rope in order to jump off, but Guevara stopped them all and yelled “Randy Orton is on Twitter!” They all them jumped down from the corners and to hit RKO’s and doing Orton’s pose.

J.R. Speaks – Jim Ross spoke to The A.V. Club for a new interview promoting his book “Slobberknocker: My Life In Wrestling”. During the interview, JR discussed his past addiction issues, here is what he had to say…

“You’re going to hear about my addiction to drugs. I was addicted to Ambien and Xanax, together, with Crown Royal. I was on Uranus, and Pluto, and Neptune, and everywhere else late at night. [Because] I had severe sleep apnea – and still do – I stopped breathing 99 times in an hour in a sleep test. So I wasn’t in real great shape with that deal.”

When talking about breaking his addiction, here is what he said…

“Ambien is a temporary medication for insomnia. Temporary. Not ten years. …It’s not a [revolutionary] story, it’s eye-opening, and shows it can happen to anybody. It was like smoking, I just decided one day to quit smoking, and stopped. Done, I’m done.”
