Omega Talks Rollins ‘Stealing’ His Finisher, Batista on his Last WWE Run, and More! – WrestleCorp News

Not a lot of time tonight, gotta run in about a half hour. I won’t have ComicCorp up until later, so here’s the wrestling update for the night.

Batista on Talk is Jericho – Batista was on Chris Jericho’s podcast, and revealed he wants one more storyline with Triple H. He goes on to say;

I’ve asked [to come back]. I’ve asked. I’ve asked for what I want. I’ll tell [Jericho] and I’ve talked to Hunter about it and I’ve talked to Vince about it. I said I would come back and run a whole program with Hunter. That’s the only thing I’m interested in and they’re just not interested in it.

…I guess [WWE is] not [interested]. And I’ve run it by them a few different times. They just say, ‘meh, we’ll think about it.’ Vince, every time I ask him, ‘meh, I’ll think about it.’

…At this point, no [Batista is not interested in doing long programs with up-and-comers], because it would be like my retirement thing. It’d be what I go out on. I’d come back and I’d do it. I would do a whole program and I’d be done. But that’s how I’d want to go out because we have such a history together and there’s so much history built in. There’s an easy story to be told and I think people would get into it and they’d like it. And Hunter, he’s just awesome to work with.

Any card that Taker’s on, he’s the main event, but I thought we should have had it. And we both thought that we were the main event as well. For some reason, they decided not to go with us and I thought our storyline was awesome. We built it. We built it. There [were] a few kind of monumental landmarks with Taker never holding that title before. I don’t think he had that title, world title. And also, I was dropping the title to him and I thought it should have been the main event. I really thought we stole the show, so I was just really, really proud of that match, like, really proud. And it was a great match.

Kenny Omega on Seth Rollins Using a Variation of His Move – Seth Rollins has been using a modified version of Kenny Omega’s Rain Trigger movie, which is in itself a modified version of the Rain Maker. Talking with SportsKeeda, he revealed his thoughts on Rollins, saying;

I’m cool with it. Examining their execution, it hardly appears like the same move anyway. Now in 2017, almost every move has been created. To make something ‘new’, sometimes the only way is to add your own spin to a pre-existing move. I have a fairly original move set, but I do have a dragon suplex in my arsenal. I make that look fresh by adding a snap and keeping it low to the ground. It looks original, but at the end of the day, it is just a dragon suplex.

On Hogan Joining The Bullet Club;

No comment.

Who’s Calling the UK Championship Shows – The WWE has filmed a few shows for an upcoming Network special that’ll see a lot of the UK Tournament wrestlers competing. The show will air in May and will feature Jim Ross and Nigel McGuinness calling the matches.

What Moves has Jeff Hardy Stopped Doing – Jeff Hardy talked to Colt Cabana on his podcast and revealed that he’s stopped doing several moves that he’s done in the past, saying;

I don’t do [the shooting star press] anymore, even the 450 splash. I was talking to Fénix at the show tonight and he’s not doing the 450 anymore because he kind of over-rotated and bummed his shoulder out and that’s the reason I stopped doing the 450 because I over-rotated and jacked my shoulder up. I thought I broke my collarbone or something, but those days are over, so I’ll stick with the Swanton [Bomb].

Quick Hits – Austin Aries is going to take on Neville at Extreme Rules. There is a rumor that Brock Lesnar’s first title defense will be at Great Balls of Fire and might feature Braun Strowman.
