Ah Wednesday. When we post our WCW’s, talk pro wrestling and laugh at the reality of the situation around us. *Sighs*. Lets talk pro wrestling.
Top Star Told He’s Not Getting Called Up – The higher ups at WWE told Samoa Joe that there would be nothing for him after his NXT run. On Talk is Jericho, Joe revealed exactly what was said to him, saying;
I think the initial idea was, ‘let’s just bring him in for NXT’ and we got such a good response with everything that it kind of really blew up even beyond that and here I am on the main roster. And really to the company’s credit, it wasn’t something that was set in stone. Like, the scenario that was laid out before me was like, ‘listen, we can use you here in NXT, but we don’t really think that it’ll go much beyond that.
Steve Keirn on Not Heading NXT – Steve Keirn is known by many to be the man who was the head of the WWE Developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling. He talked to the Two Man Power Trip and revealed the reason he never went to NXT.
I started seeing less guys with passion and more guys with different situations and not that there is anything wrong with it, that just makes it harder to teach somebody that doesn’t love it. When it came time for me and I had a contract that went from December to December and when the time went from less years to less years they ended up wanting to make changes and they wanted to cut my pay because I am not doing everything and that is fine, they want me to move to Orlando and I said I can’t do that. I’m in my sixties and live in Tampa and I am Mr. Florida and know the best place to live and Tampa is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. I didn’t want to move eighty miles East into a tourist trap when I need to be in my home more. When the end came I said this is great and I’m glad it is over and now it is time for me to step back and when they said they weren’t renewing my contract I hugged them and said THANKS! I’ve been waiting for the end because I was told one time to not ever quit, make them pay you to the end.
JBL Puts Foot in Mouth Again – During last night’s “Take it to the Table”, JBL flat out said;
I’d rather be waterboarded than to sit down and talk wrestling with Sami Zayn. I would rather be captured by ISIS than have to have dinner with Sami Zayn.
So yeah, JBl, a paragon of humanity.
Quick Hits – Big E, Dash Wilder and D’Angelo Dinero all slam Kings of Leon member, Jared Followill, for taking unnecessary shots at pro wrestling. WWE has started airing highlight packages for Cedric Alexander’s return to television. Impact Wrestling to debut a new look for Xplosion.
