Pro Wrestling Hall of Famer’s Daughter to Debut for AEW

Rachel Ellering, Tessa Blanchard, Charlotte Flair, Paige and a slew of others I’m sure have graced the ring following their fathers and mothers.  Second, third, fourth generation wrestlers are as prevalent as ever and with names like The Rock, Cody Rhodes and even Randy Orton (to a point), you know why.  Being the child of a legend puts pressure on you, but also opportunity.

And AEW is giving that to the daughter of Roddy Piper; Teal.

‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper’s daughter Teal will make her pro wrestling debut at All Elite Wrestling’s ‘All Out’ event on August 31st.  Her debut match will be a battle royal to crown one of the two women who will compete for the AEW Women’s Championship.   She’ll have to go up against some of the biggest names in women’s wrestling to date, namely; Nyla Rose, Britt Baker, Yuka Sakazaki, Allie, Brandi Rhodes, Ivelisse and Jazz,

Ivelisse and Jazz will also make their debuts on the show as well, though both are far more well known than Teal Piper.  Ivelisse sued to get out of her Lucha Underground deal, and while she isn’t signed to a full time deal, she’s sure to do all she can to impress in her outing.  Jazz is another talent who isn’t signed to a full time deal with AEW, however she might not sign with them.  She was the NWA Women’s Champion for a long time, and vacated the title due to personal issues.  She might return to the NWA at this point, as they’ve announced the return of their studio show in October.

Who knows how good Teal can be.  Who knows if this is more than just a one off appearance.  It got people talking and at the end of the day that’s the point.  AEW seems to be taking her father’s famous words to heart; because just as you get all the answers, AEW changes the questions.
