How’s Into The Spider-Verse Fairing? Another Anime Gets Live Action Treatment and More!

If you were concerned that Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse was going to be  bad – rest assured – the reviews are pretty strong.   The reviews seem to range from “best sense Spider-Man 2” to “best comic book movie of the year”.  Is it?  Who knows, go see it for yourself but Sony has high hopes.  The film has already had a sequel and a female spin-off already green lit after the first initial screenings.  So this is probably going to be pretty solid.

Have you been enjoying the live action remakes of your favorite animes?  NO?! THEN DO WE HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU!  Or, bad…news?  Netflix has announced that iconic anime Cowboy Bebop has been greenlit for a live action adaptation no the streaming platform.  Netflix and Tomorrow Studios will work on the project, with the original series director Shinichiro Watanabe  serving as special consultant.  The series will be handled by Andre Nemec, Josh Appelbaum, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio, all serving as executive producers.  Then Yasuo Miyakawa, Masayuki Ozaki, and Shin Sasaki from the original anime’s studio Sunrise will also executive produce as well.

The long rumored Superman/Rocksteady game has apparently had a leaked title thanks to a keen eyed observer.  According to ComicBook’s article, the game got listed prematurely on a website, saying;

There have been rumors regarding what Rocksteady’s next big project will be with a new Superman game continuing to be a forerunner. Now a new leak has supported that a Superman announcement may be imminent thanks to a Systems Requirement check available online.

One keen-eyed Resetera user noticed a listing for Rocksteady’s Superman: World’s Finest over on GameSystemRequirements.com. According to the listing itself, the rumored game doesn’t have a release date set at this time, but it does show that the game is under the “Action, Adventure” genre. The user also noted in his original post that this was the same site that leaked (accidentally) the Devil May Cry V game, which was announced a month after the listing was spotted.

The current rumor has the game possibly being announced at the upcoming Game Awards.  The event has promised the debut of ten new  titles being announced, and Superman: World’s Finest (game’s working title) could be one of them.
