Elseworld Coming to Arrowverse, Major Update on Telltale and More! – ComicCorp News

Arrowverse Crossover Casting – The CW will feature another DC trend for this year’s Arrowverse crossover; the Elseworld’s.  The Elseworlds used to be a DC Comics imprint designed at  looking at alternative histories from within the DC Universe; aka the Multiverse.   Well it looks like Batwoman will be an Elseworld character, in theory as DC and CW have announced that LaMonica Garrett will star as the Monitor Mar Novu in the upcoming multi night event, which is being dubbed The Elseworld Crossover.  The character is described as “an extraterrestrial being of infinite power known as the Monitor”.

Walking Dead Update – The Telltale closing has left a lot of properties dead and in the water, but most weren’t anywhere close to release, except the final season of The Walking Dead.  The second and final part of the previously announced four part story was set to debut on Tuesday but after Tuesday came and went, there was no second episode.

A listing on GOG.com states;

Telltale has requested a temporary pause of sales of The Walking Dead – Final Season. For all up to date Telltale news, please refer to their official Twitter page.

No statement has yet to be made as of yet.

Which is even more peculiar because on Monday, they tweeted out that several independent outlets were interested in helping release the other two episodes.   More than likely this is a pending buyout, which would mean contracts need to be in place, and the remaining developers would work for the new content owners while the game is finished.

Quick Hits – Deadline is reporting that Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell will play The Huntress and Black Canary respectively in the upcoming Birds of Prey film; assuming it gets made.

ILMxLAB has announced Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series for the Oculus, which debuts in 2019. The trailer for it can be seen below and yes, it does sound like James Earl Jones will return as the iconic Vader once again.
