Former IMPACT Wrestling Star Retires – Former IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team and ROH Tag Team Champion Alex Shelley has announced his retirement from pro wrestling in the midst of his Ring of Honor run. Shelly was still tagging with partner Chris Sabin up until this summer. While no reason has been given for his retirement at this time, it does seem that he’s leaving under his own accord. IT SHOULD BE NOTED HOWEVER, that he and Chris Sabin may be splitting up as a tag team going forward. The assumption of retirement is strictly from the writers covering the story and not from Shelley himself.

That being said, Shelley did tweet out that he suffered a Maxillary nerve injury, an injury y that affects the nerves in one’s face.

Indy Promotion Lands on WGN America – Ring Warriors, a group out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida has landed on WGN America with a new t.v. deal.  The show will being airing on September 15th at 8 a.m. and will go for an hour.

Television tapings will take place August 8 and 9 at Sam’s Town Casino in Las Vegas. The shows will feature Austin Aries, Eli Drake, Jeff Cobb, Marty the Moth, Wes Brisco, Alex Chamberlain, Chase Stevens, Cassidy Riley, and others.

The show will feature a tournament to crown their Grand Champion.

Quick Hits – Abyss has finalized a new deal to remain with IMPACT Wrestling as both a wrestler and backstage employee, signing what some believe is a two-year deal. Brian Lawlwer was arrested earlier this month again, this time for a DUI and evading arrest.  Chris Jericho has gone on record saying that he’d be happy to work for IMPACT Wrestling.  Kenny Omega is working through his first IWGP Heavyweight Title reign with a fractured heel.  Maria Kanellis will be heading down to the WWE NXT Performance Center to being her return to the ring after giving birth last year.
