Eli Drake Update – We found out yesterday that Eli Drake has in fact signed a new deal with IMPACT Wrestling.  Today we found out that it is a long term deal, and will keep Eli with the promotion past Slammiversary XVI.  While we don’t know the exact length, IMPACT usually signs talents to two year deals.

Fire Pro Wrestling Cover Revealed – WWE’s 2k is not the only big release coming this year for the world of pro wrestling.  Joining the releases, Fire Pro Wrestling: World is set to debut August 28t of this year.  The cover models for this game are Kenny Omega Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tetsuya Naito.

Pre-Order Bonus Revealed – 2k and WWE have revealed that Rey Mysterio will be the pre-order bonus character for the WWE 2k19 videogame.  The game currently has AJ Styles as the cover guy, and will feature the pro wrestling game debut of Ronda Rousey.

The addition of Mysterio has ramped up the rumor mill about Rey’s WWE status.  While he’s yet to re-sign with the company, many are expecting him to be back by the end of the summer-start of the fall.

Extreme Rules Card – AJ Styles and Rusev are set to face off at Extreme Rules for the WWE Championship, though I’m hearing that right now the WWE title won’t be going on last.  Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns is currently slated to main event, with the idea that the winner will face off with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Quick Hits  – The Philadelphia Phillies will host “WWE Night” this Friday, June 29th at Citizens Bank Park.  The first 1,000 fans will get a Philles-WWE Championship shirt.  Former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion RAshad Evans has officially retired from competition.
