Star Trek Animated Series Coming? Huge LeBron James Movie Coming Sooner Than Thought? and More! – ComicCorp News

Star Trek Animated Revival? –  The rumors of Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Jean-Luc Picard may be more than originally thought.  CBS is apparently developing an animated series around the Star Trek: Next Generation franchise.  Star Trek: Discovery co-creator Alex Kurtzman seemingly implied that Stewart would be lending his voice to said animated series.   He’s quoted to The Mirror as saying;

There are animated series also in the works, and Patrick could easily lend his voice to them.

Space Jam 2 Actually Coming? –  Justin Lin and LeBron James are currently weeks away from releasing a trailer to Space Jam 2.  This is a bit shocking, as I never remember production beginning for the film.  The film’s trailer is rumored to be debuting some time this summer, which again is interesting, as the basketball season just ended.  Apparently the trailer will go and in hand with his announcement as to where he’s playing, according to The Hype Magazine Basketball Society and others.

The announcement will come on Instagram TV and may actually be a behind the scenes video announcement, which makes more sense.

Quick Hits – 90’s teen comedy duo, Kenan and Kel will reunite for an upcoming episode of Double Dare.  The writers of A Quiet Place, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods are developing the Stephen King story The Boogeyman into a screen adaptation.  Riverdale is apparently casting Evelyn Evernever for the upcoming third series as a recurring guest star.  HBO’s Watchmen series has added Jeremy Irons to the cast.
