Former WWE Star Done With Criminal Investigation, Former IMPACT Wrestler Arrested and More! – WrestleCorp News

Enzo Amore Apparently Cleared of All Charges – The situation involving Enzo Amore and the alleged rape allegations against him have come to a close.  Enzo Amore posted a full post on Twitter today that claimed that the Phoenix Police closed the case, opting to not file charges against Enzo.   According to the letter;

The Phoenix Police Department recently informed Mr. Arndt and his counsel that there is insufficient evidence in this matter to warrant any criminal charges, that the matter will not be transferred to the County Attorney for prosecution, and that their investigation and case is closed. No charges were ever filed. The matter is closed.

The letter was posted by Tom Cargill, P.A. and is Enzo’s personal general counsel.  With the case being closed, unless new evidence comes to light, the matter is done.    The case took a huge hit when images discrediting her story, and her own friends, started to publicly go against her.

WWE Announces New UK Tournament – The WWE has announced that they’re holding a WWE UK Tournament again, with the winner getting a shot at Pete Dunne’s WWE UK Championship.  The first eight wrestlers are Zack Gibson, Joe Coffey, 205Live star Jack Gallagher, Dave Mastiff, Kenny Williams, El Ligero, Joseph Conners, and Amir Jordan.

I don’t get the point in another WWE tournament with UK talent, especially when it’s just for a #1 Contendership.  That being said, I like Joe Coffey and could really use this platform to springboard into stardom.

IMPACT Wrestling Star Arrested – Ayako Hamada, former IMPACT Knockout Tag Team Champion and AAA star Ayako Hamada was arrested on May 13th at her home in Tokyo, Japan.  The story gets a little bonkers, as apparently.  The Tokyo Reporter claims that Ayako was held at knife-point when she called a wrestling promoter and reportedly told them that shed be missing their event due to the alleged hostage situation.  When authorities arrived for a wellness check, the  she was descried as “rambling incoherently and behaving in a strange manner”.   She took and failed a drug test, where she then confessed that she had snorted the unnamed substance.

Quick Hits – As mentioned last night, Zahra Schreiber is now dating openly gay WWE wrestler, Sonya Deville.  Schreiber was fired from the WWE a few years back due to distasteful racial comments and alleged Nazi-beliefs with her collection of Nazi paraphernalia.  Nikki Bella has doubled down, saying while she hopes for a future with John Cena, she’s taking time to “work on (her)”, which plays into the idea that this whole thing is for publicity or some type of one-upmanship.
