WWE and IMPACT Working Together, Rusev Done with WWE? and More ! – WrestleCorp News

WWE and IMPACT Working Together? – WWE Home Video UK is claiming that the WWE and IMPACT Wrestling will be working together going forward on a new project for Matt Hardy.  This makes sense, as over the last week we’ve seen three instances of them being brought up.  Once with Jeff Hardy, another with AJ Styles and this past Monday on RAW with Kurt Angle.  So the idea of them getting coverage or plugs from WWE isn’t that out there, as ROH procured a similar deal a few years back.  IMPACT President Ed Nordholm has buried the hatchet with Matt Hardy in recent months, so it makes sense that IMPACT would continue this good will with both Matt and the WWE.

WWE Star in Major Trouble? –  In what is a fire-able offense, Liv Morgan posted a photo on Instagram detailing tonight’s taping schedule for NXT.  Morgan, who’s on the main roster, is/was backstage at the event on Wednesday but her reason for being so is undetermined.  She quickly deleted the post but it was, quite obviously, too late.   Will the WWE fire her ?  We’ll find out, tomorrow (as I’m writing this part Tuesday night*).

Rusev on Way Out? – Rusev was booked earlier this week to face off with The Undertaker at the Saudi Arabia event in a casket match.  However, for some reason, the WWE has pulled him from the match.  This might not be a big issue, as Jericho was inserted instead into the match.  However,  with Rusev not being happy with his standing in the company, and the fact that he’s been booked to eat the loss in several multi-man matches, it’s not hard to think that Rusev may of finally had enough and formally asked for his release.  Though that’s only speculation.

Quick Hits – As mentioned above, Chris Jericho will join Kurt Angle, The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio as major names returning to the company for the event.   MVP has hinted on Twitter that he’s more receptive to return to the WWE after seeing the return of Bobby Lashley to RAW.  Beyond being a manager to the orally impaired Lashley, I’m not sure what MVP can add.  If you traveled to New Orleans over the weekend, be aware that there is a case of measles being reported;  right now it’s only one case but if you haven’t been immunized you should be on the lookout for symptoms.
