Batista WWE Update, Don’t be Joey, and More! – WrestleCorp News

Batista Almost at ‘Mania? – Several outlets are expanding on yesterday’s rumor about Batista almost being Ronda Rousey’s partner for WrestleMania.  According to the Pro Wrestling Sheet, there was no formal decision as to why, or even a courtesy call to Batista to let him know it was off, instead the WWE and Triple H (Batista’s boy), went with Kurt Angle without ever indicating to Batista why he was suddenly dropped form the match.  The idea would of built up to a future one on one match between HHH and Batista at WrestleMania 35, but that’s not happening now.

MMA Notes – Mostly because Ronda Rousey wanting Paul Heyman as her manager isn’t that much to report on.  We’ve known that she’s a Heyman Girl.  Known that for a while.  Also, Connor McGregor has posted his $50,000 bail and his career is in doubt after Dana White distanced himself from the former MMA duel champion on ESPN today.

New Company Helping WWE TV Deal – William Morris Endeavor, parent company of the UFC these days, has opted to bring in Creative Arts Agency in order to help assure the WWE that no shenanigans will occur.  There was some concern that the parent company of the UFC would purposefully curb the WWE deal, as their cable deal is worth twice as much as the UFC’s.  WME though has shown to be refutable and even brought in CAA in order to assuage the concerns.

Quick Hits – Joey Janela nearly ended his career last night, when he irresponsibly performed a piledriver on a  drunk fan while walking the streets of New Orleans.  Do NOT act like this is acceptable behavior.   Cody Rhodes will have a police escort into the ring tomorrow for his ROH entrance against Kenny Omega.  ROH will feature this match in front of 6,000 fans, an all time high for the roster.  WWNLive and PWG Champion Kieth Lee was in what appears to be a minor car accident yesterday, no word on who was at fault and what caused the accident.   The USPTO has declined Vince’s new company, Alpha Entertainment, the trademarks of the XFL, due to the WWE’s trademark on them.  Hilarious.
