Even More Doubt Cast on Tarantino’s ‘Trek Film, The Rock Done With Vin Diesel and More! – ComicCorp News

Simon Pegg Doubts Tarantino’s Trek Film – After Star Trek God Father Jonathan Frakes dismissed the idea of Quintin Tarantino writing the script for the 4th Star Trek, it lead to many interesting conversations.  Yet, there’s a chance still, many though.  However, current writer Simon Pegg, who you’d say is the No. 2 for Trek’s public image, seems to echo the sentiments.  He’s quoted as saying;

I don’t think Quentin is going to direct it, because he’s got in his California movie [‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’] to do and then I think only doing one more film after that. And I doubt, I don’t think he could get around to directing a Star Trek in two-three years.

There appears to be a concern among the top guys in Star Trek’s public echelon to distance themselves from Tarantino.  It wasn’t just Pegg or Frakes who’s dismissed the idea of Tarantino, but current Trek film star,  Zachary Quinto who went out of his way to throw sand on the fire by claiming three other scripts are being considered as well.  I’d say Tarantino is a long shot at this point.

Terminator Genisys Sequel Idea – Jason Clarke starred in the latest Terminator film but it was a disaster.  Clarke played John Connor in the latest film, but the film took a bold route.  Once the savor of the human race, Genisys turned Connor into a Terminator Cyborg.  It did not go over well with the fans.  Hence the reboot. Yet Clarke revealed that the sequel idea would explore that gimmick, saying;

What I remember was that second one was going to be about John’s journey after he was taken by Skynet…like going down to what he became; half machine, half man.  That’s where the second one was going to start, and that’s about all I knew.

The Rock Done Working With Vin Diesel? – The Rock and Vin Diesel had a messy as hell feud last year, that played out not just in the tabloids but on social media thanks to Tyrese Gibson.  So when he was asked about being in anymore scenes with Diesel, The Rock revealed that he was not in any scenes with him.  He also slyly stated that there is still some bad blood between the two, saying;

 We were not in any scenes together.  Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.
Right now I’m concentrating on making the [Fast and Furious’ Hobbs and Shaw] spinoff as good as it can be.  I wish [Diesel] all the best and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.

Smallville Stars Want Animated Remake – Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum want to do an animated revival of “Smallville”.  Rosenbaum revealed that he talked to Alfred Gough about it, saying;

I swear to God, I brought that up to Al, the creator of Smallville, I said, ‘We should do an animated Smallvillee.  Can you imagine? That’d be huge! Smallville: The Animated Series, with all the real voices, and all the guest stars […] bring ’em in, it’d just be cool.

Welling, who played opposite Rosenbaum’s Lex as Clark Kent echoed that feeling, saying;

I mean, animated could be fun
