Women Didn’t Make WrestleMania Main Show? Georgia Brown’s Son Defends Moolah and More! – WrestleCorp News

PWG Done in Iconic Venue – Pro Wrestling Guerrilla is known for their small an intimate venue in Reseda, California at the American Legion Hall.  While fans wanted to see them take on bigger promotions and expand, they never wanted to.  PWG’s business model is becoming harder and harder to sustain.  They only do a handful of matches a month, and have to pay and fly in some of the biggest indy talent in the world to perform there.  They no longer have their own roster, and have become basically an All-Star promotion.  They survive on over priced tickets, and a dying DVD market.  Moving to a bigger promotion hurts that business model.  More seats, less demand.

But the kick in the ass to evolve with the times has just come due to the owner of the building selling it, and the new owner not wanting to host anymore shows there.   They’ve already moved to the Globe Theater in Los Angeles, where they are expected to stay after their final shows in April and May at the American Legion Hall.

Women’s Match Not on Main Card? – It’s not that big of a deal to not be on the main card of WrestleMania anymore, with the whole thing being available locally on the Network but it still says something as to how one is viewed.  Nia Jax just kind of hinted at this, when she revealed through subterfuge that she and Alexa Bliss’s RAW Women’s Championship match be on the Pre-Show.

That is obviously not the ideal position that you would want to be in, but to be fair, our show is watched all around the world by millions of people, and I am pretty sure a lot of people would still catch us on the pre-show. It’s an honor to be on the card, period, but I definitely feel that the women have earned a shot on the main card. I don’t think that’ll be happening this year.

Now, it sounds like all the women are on the pre-show in her words but I think she’s being overly dramatic and doens’t realize that many of the men who work just as, if not harder than her will also be on the pre show.  Charlotte and Asuka and the Rousey match will be on the mian card, but the Battle Royal? Why would or should it be?  Both Battle Royals are pre-show made.  No one really cares about them.  So I’m not sure why Nia is so pessimistic.

Son of Georgia Brown Defends Moolah – Georgia’s Brown son is defending Fabulous Moolah.  So there’s that.

People putting out stories that Moolah used my mother as a prostitute, she caused my mother to be on drugs. And I come to say today that that’s not true.  That’s not true at all. Especially knowing the Moolah that I had grew to know. That who treated me real nice. Who invited me into her home, stayed in contact with me, and even before she died, she even embraced me with love.

…Moolah did the right thing, and she helped my mother.

My sister used to cry all the time because she wanted to be with my mother.  If anybody know anything about the times in the 60s, you know, it was tough. I’m not saying Buddy Lee did anything wrong, I’m not saying Moolah did anything wrong, but as being a wife back in the 60s, even if Moolah knew anything that was going on, she wasn’t in a position to say anything. Wives didn’t say nothing. They just went along with what they husbands told them.

His whole defense, “….she treated me nice.”  That’s it.  No evidence.  No cooperating evidence.   No contradictory reports of alleged events that occurred.  Nothing.   People, your opinions don’t mean shit, you need evidence.
