WWE Continues to Pretend They Did Nothing Wrong, Batista Wants One More Run and More! – WrestleCorp News

WWE Refuses to Accept Responsibility – The biggest head scratcher from the Moolah-‘Mania debacle has been the WWE’s inability to admit fault in the matter. The WWE spin machine seems to be running with this idea that they did nothing wrong, and that this was merely for the fans benefit. Stephanie McMahon, the face of this whole issue, commented today at the WrestleMania 35 press conference, saying;

I love that the WWE audience expressed their opinions, whether they are positive or negative. I think that it is our responsibility to listen to our audience and do our best to give them what they want. Clearly, they did not want to name the Women’s Battle Royal after The Fabulous Moolah. We were really proud that they spoke up and we were really happy to make that change.

The lies are strong here. We know the WWE hates when the fans go against their wishes. Hello Cruiserweight Division. (Created to keep the Danielson’s of the world out of the top spots), the fans tell them all the time what they want but they never listen. The fans didn’t want Moolah to be used for the Battle Royal because she was a monster, not because the fans were merely wanting a better option. They were not proud to change it, as nothing was said about the matter until Snickers threatened to drop them. And I GUARANTEE you, Vince fought the idea of changing the name, until the money started to dry up. This company is perpetually awful.

Batista Isn’t Done? – Batista is a polarizing figure in wrestling. The future Hall of Famer wasn’t always the most well liked and often times clashed with higher ups, but it seems Batista still wants one final run in the WWE. That’s why he’s refused Hall of Fame induction honors. When asked in a video about it, Batista replied;

I haven’t accepted a nomination into the WWE Hall of Fame, because I just don’t feel like my career is over. I still feel like I have plenty to offer, but now it’s a scheduling issue and it’s also a creative issue. You never say never, but I’d love to go back.

Vampiro On Sting and Lex Luger – Before Sting and Luger got themselves together with religion, they weren’t to fond of Vampiro. Part of it for Sting, could of been that he saw the writing on the wall for his career in 2000 (that would last another 15 years) and Vampiro was the embodiment of being passed by. So when Vampiro spoke with 317 Gimmick Street about his encounters, it’s not surprising to hear Vampiro not remembering Sting and Luger with the utmost of warmth, saying;

When I first came in the dressing room and I went to say ‘hi’ to Sting and to Lex Luger. It’s in my head like it happened this morning. I went to shake their hands and they went literally turned their back on me. That was something that took me aback.

…I had a singles match with Lex Luger when he was Lex Luger. Like, ‘oh man, he’s just Lex!’ He couldn’t pick me up to bodyslam me if I paid him $10 million. He dropped me and he yelled at me. I looked at Elizabeth like, ‘what did I do?’ And she goes, ‘I don’t know.’ He was just so mad because he’s all jacked up and he couldn’t pick up a 220 lbs. guy. He couldn’t do it. No! I didn’t know what the hell [sandbagging] meant back then! I was like, ‘dude, just tell me what to do and I’ll jump!’ And he couldn’t do it. He dropped me. Unbelievable.

However, with all that being said about Sting, Vampiro does accredit him for helping him out, saying;

As a person, I was really disappointed after when he spoke bad about me, but I have nothing but good things to say about him. He said he didn’t like the gimmick, the gimmick wasn’t getting over, my workrate was bad, things like that. And we all know why things like that get said, right? But, to be honest with you, he took the time to talk to me, to explain things to me, the American way businesswise, he smartened me up to a lot of things. I thought it was an amazing education. Even though we aren’t the best of friends, I’m so grateful that he took that time to teach me.

WrestleMania 35 Announced – It’s in New Jersey again at MetLife Stadium. So we’re just hitting the same three cities over and over and over again? Well, fuck off then.

Quick Hits – Former WWE Women’s Champion Melina (Perez) is returning to the ring to face off with Shazza McKenzei for Australian Wrestling Entertainment on March 23rd. Both Macaulay Culkin and Skylar Astin challenged Rusev to a match at WrestleMania 34, but he rejected both on Twitter. Tyson Tomko and Giovanni “Romeo” Roselli have opened up a new training facility called PurLife in Florida. Finn Balor has a new clothing line called PE&K.
