IMPACT Taping News – IMPACT has two major tapings set for early next month. The first on the 3rd, in Windsor, Ontario where IMPACT and Scott D’Amore will work with Border City Wrestling. Eli Drake vs. former IMPACT Star Cody Deaner has already been announced. El Patron vs. Moose is also booked. Matt Sydal, Sienna, Allie, Trevor Lee, Braxton Sutter, Petey Williams, and Kongo Kong round out the IMPACT talent, while Aiden Prince, former IMPACT star A-1, Phil Atlas, Brent Banks and El Reverso will be the BCW’s crew.
Then on the fourth, Destiny Wrestling partners with IMPACT Wrestling for another Twitch branded event, that’ll air on March 9th. Austin Aries vs. Kongo Kong and Matt Sydal is the main event (possibly for the title. Trevor Lee will take on top indie star Josh Alexander, Allie takes on KC Spinelli and obviously more will be announced.
AroLucha Taping News – AroLucha announced a press release for the first season of ‘Aro Lucha’. While no location is announced, considering it’s taking place in Nashville and they filmed their pilot at the Nashville Fairgrounds (the old TNA Asylum), it makes sense they’ll re-use that location again. NASHVILLE, TENN. FEBRUARY 26, 2018 – Arolucha, Inc., the United States leading Lucha Libre Sports Entertainment Company, announced today that they will be filming Season 1 of their scripted television series by the same name, ARO LUCHA, later this year.
“We’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished this year. The product has had an overwhelmingly positive response, both the scripted show and live events. We’re excited to begin filming, our fans are asking for content”, said Jason Brown CEO of Aro Lucha.
Aro Lucha will film in Nashville TN, home to various production facilities such as Sky Way and Numynd Studios, Latin American and Hispanic destinations such as Plaza Mariachi, and the newly announced MLS expansion team, the Nashville Soccer Club. Nashville boasts a vibrant and growing Hispanic and Immigrant population, with the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and other sources citing the overall Hispanic/Latino population of Nashville at approximately 11 to 12% of total overall population.
Aro Lucha’s scripted Lucha Libre series will be written by Charles “Konnan” Ashenoff, but a variety of lucha based content is in development outside of the traditional Aro Lucha series. A scripted comedy about two average “gringos” who must go to lucha school to win the heart of a Latino love interest will film simultaneously alongside Season 1 of Aro Lucha later this year.
“We have a lot of things planned for the Lucha Libre space and filming both shows simultaneously allows us to take advantage of some real efficiencies”, said Brown. “You’re going to have to see the guys who play the leads in the comedy, it’s Nacho Libre meets Dodgeball, we haven’t been this excited for a project in a long time.”

Quick Hits – Rosemary has been replaced by Allie on the March duel branded Big Time Wrestling/IMPACT Wrestling due to injury. Josh Mathews and Tyrus will be on the IMPACT media call tomorrow. Dana White tweeted out a photo of him and Brock Lesnar in Las Vegas yesterday, hyping speculation that Lesnar is gearing up for a UFC return. Kane is expected to return to action tonight on RAW. Young Bucks will take on Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi (Golden Lovers) at the NJPW Long Beach, California show.
