Ben Affleck Sticking Around? Spider-Man Spinoff Involving Major Villain and More! – ComicCorp News

Ben Affleck Staying with Batman? – “Justice League” is getting a fair amount of positive reviews, and with the positive success of “Wonder Woman”, it appears as though Ben Affleck might be sticking around as Batman. Charles Roven, a producer for “Justice Leauge” was asked about “The Batman” and here’s what he had to say;

From everything I know, he’s going to play that Batman. They’re retooling the script, so I can’t really say anything for certain.

Ben Affleck then went on to say, “(A standalone film)…is something I’m contemplating”, according to USA Today. He did go on to say;

You don’t do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it.

Another Spider-Man Spinoff Coming? – Sony might just succeed where the “Dark Universe” failed for Universal. There are new details emerging surrounding another “Spider-Man” spin off, and this one involves the Vampire Morbius. Morbius is a student who became infected with vampire bat DNA and became a plasma draining vampire. Ok, well that was the 90’s animated version of him. Which is the extent of my knowledge. However, when you think about Venom’s dark nature, Carnage’s over the top violence, the sexy and skillful set of attributes that the Black Cat and Silver Sable have; this could just be the monster universe we’re looking for.

X-Men Red Roster Revealed – The folks at Marvel are launching “X-Men Red”, which will be lead by Jean Grey. The other two teams, “X-Men Blue” and “X-Men Gold” were launched earlier this year. The team will be made up of the classic Jean Grey, Namor the Sub Mariner, the female Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and mutants I have no idea who the are named Gentle, Gabby and Trinary.

Quick Hits – “Wonder Woman 2” has been pushed from December 13th to November 1st, 2019 to avoid “Star Wars Episode IX”. Amazon Studios “Lord of the Ring” series is expected to be a prequel to the Lord of the Rings franchise, with some assuming it’ll be driven by “The Silmarillion” book. “John Wick” creator, Derek Kolstad is heading a new “Hitman” television series for Hulu. DC Entertainment has fired Eddie Berganza.
