Shazam News – Some casting news is coming out about “Shazam”. We know that Zachary Levi will play Shazam, the adult version of Billy Batson, and now we might know who’s playing Mary Marvel. Which by the way, the name doesn’t work anymore since they changed Shazam from Captain Marvel. Grace Fulton is expected to sign to the project. Fulton is 21, and it seems unlikely she’d be able to play someone just entering their teenage years, so the odds of her playing a younger character is unlikely. She’s also being attached to play Batson’s “friend” but that could be anyone.

Also, it sounds like Mark Strong is returning to the DC Comics film universe but not as Sinestro. Apparently the folks over at the “Shazam” project has eyed Strong to play Doctor Sivana. Sivana is your standard evil doctor, up until the new New 52 reboot when he became dyer to save his family, and turned to Black Adam for help. So he could be the link between “Shazam” and “Black Adam”.

New Trilogy Coming? – Disney is going to make you hate “Star Wars”! Not only are we getting the new trilogy, and these “a Star War Stories”, and the Han Solo prequel (trilogy?) Oh and don’t forget the comics; but now we have EVEN MORE to deal with. For fuck’s sake…. In speaking in an interview with Kathleen Kennedy, we have another decade of fucking movies after 2019. Her’s what Kennedy said;

We’re sitting down now, we’re talking about the next ten years of Star Wars stories, and we’re looking at narratively where that might go. Future stories beyond Episode IX with these new characters: Rey, Poe, Finn, BB-8. But we’re also looking at working with people that are interested in coming into the Star Wars world and taking us to places that we haven’t been yet. And that’s exciting too because its a vast galaxy far, far away, so the possibilities are endless.

Laurence Fishburne Developing Marvel Project? – Laurence Fishburne is apparently working on a project with Marvel. The former Perry White is working on “Ant-Man and The Wasp”, but apparently more is on the way. He’s quoted as saying;

I’m developing something else for Marvel that I can’t talk about. It’s gonna be really cool. It’s gonna change the world, we hope (laughs). I went to Marvel and pitched them something that really couldn’t work out—there was a lot of legal red tape that just [was] something they couldn’t work out. But then they came back with the offer for Ant-Man and the Wasp and then they said, ‘Hey, what do you think of this?’ and I went ‘Oh yeah that, yes!’ so…

Quick Hits – ‘Titans’ TV show may feature Flying Graysons. “Orville” gets second season. Tyrese will leave “Fast and Furious” franchise if The Rock stays. Scott Snyder wants to do a Martian Manhunter and Zantana book once he gets more room on his plate. “The Predator” will feature a group of military vets, suffering from trauma, going after the aforementioned alien with the intent to hunt and kill it.
