Major ‘Legends’ Actor Leaving Show, Plans for ‘Pacific Rim’ Extended Universe? – ComicCorp News

“Legends of Tomorrow” Star Gone? – Get ready for a major change. Apparently Victor Garber will not spend a fifth season in the “Arrowverse”. Debuting in the second season of “The Flash” alongside Robbie Amell (Ronnie Raymond) as Firestorm, he’s been a consistent actor within the series and universe. However, it appears as Garber wants to go back to Broadway, and will with the upcoming run of “Hello, Dolly!”, which begins on January 20th.

He’s apparently replacing David Hyde Pierce, an will be joined by Bernadette Peters. Fear not though, Garber’s given the crew of ‘Legends’ plenty of time to prepare his departure and write something epic for his finale. It’s not expected they’ll replace Firestorm as a whole, as Franz Drameh (Jax) has not signaled a desire to be written off t.v., so expect a new pairing.

“Pacific Rim” Cinematic Universe Happening? – Steven S. DeKnight apparently let slip that they’re constructing their own cinematic universe, saying;

I’m certainly hoping so. I think you’ll definitely probably get more comics. The plan was always to use this movie as a launching pad.

If enough people show up to this, we’ve already talked about the plot of the third movie, and how the end of the third movie would expand the universe to a Star Wars/Star Trek-style [franchise or series] where you can go in many, many different directions.

We’ve see cinematic universes for decades, so Pacific Rim getting involved next is understandable. If the film does well, expect it to happen.

Quick Hits – Thor: Ragnarok director says he wouldn’t white wash Akira film if given a chance to direct. “Blade Runner 2049” apparently had Harrison Ford’s legendary character Deckard die at the end of the film, when co-scribe Hampton Fancher was first envisioning the film. New “Predator” poster has been unveiled and it’s awesome.
