#IMPACTonPOP Results – Petey Williams & Sonjay Dutt defeated Trevor Lee & Caleb Konley. In a non-title match, LAX (Ortiz & Santana) defeated Jon Bolen & Zachary Wentz. Sienna & Taryn Terrell defeated Allie & Gail Kim. Eli Drake defeated Matt Sydal to retain the GFW Championship.
GFW Rips Sports Illustrated – Earlier this week, Sports Illustrated reported that Global Force Wrestling, under Anthem Media’s ownership, has been “hemorrhaging funds” and that “sources close to the situation have confirmed that Anthem is ready to withdraw itself from the wrestling industry and sell GFW.” Global Force Wrestling Vice President of Production Kevin Sullivan took to Twitter to respond back to him and rip the writer a new one, writing how as a Journalist major himself, he is disappointed and tweeted at the writer about the facts how they are expanding more and more. Always check the facts, kids.
Samoa Joe Update – According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Samoa Joe is currently expected to make his WWE return at the end of October. Joe has been out of action due to a knee injury, causing WWE to cancel a planned Joe vs. Cena match on the August 28th Raw.
Jack Gallagher Ties The Knot – According to squaredcirclesirens.com, WWE’s Jack Gallagher got married earlier this week to British wrestler Clara Sinclare (aka Alexis Rose). On behalf of all of us here at NerdCorp, we congratulate Jack Gallagher and Clara Sinclare on their marriage.
