It’s late, no opinions on either columns today. Getting ready for the show tonight.

The Signal Series – “The Batman and Signal” will be debuting in November, and Tony Patrick reveals the first series will be a three-part miniseries to gauge the interest of the character. Below is the release information on the book.

BATMAN AND THE SIGNAL #1

Variant cover by Declan Shalvey
Batman may own the night, but with new villains emerging during the day he needs an ally to defend the city when he can’t. Only one teen is up to the challenge, Duke Thomas. After months of training, he’s ready to step out of the shadow of the bat to become his own kind of hero. Meet Gotham City’s newest protector: The Signal! Spinning out of adventures in ALL-STAR BATMAN and WE ARE ROBIN, comics superstar Scott Snyder and newcomer Tony Patrick take our young hero to new heights in this exciting miniseries with artwork by Cully Hamner.

Kingsmen Continuity – Dave Gibbons, the artist for “The Secret Service”, the original series the Kingsmen movie line is based off of, revealed some interesting news, mostly that the books and the comics share continuity. Gibbons is quoted as saying;

They might look different, they might express [things] differently, but it is that same universe.

He continues on saying;

At the moment, although Mark [Millar] and I haven’t done a sequel to the comic book, we are thinking about other stuff set in the Kingsman universe. We’re actually getting some other writers and artists to explore it as well, which is always very interesting. Because again, it makes everything much more three-dimensional. I think what’s being set up is a wonderful vehicle to tell exciting stories and I look forward to maybe more of them.

Quick Hits – Katie Cassidy wants Black Siren to square off against the deceased Black Canary of Earth-1. DC announced a “Harley Loves Joker” special.
