‘Judge Dredd’ Show Update, ‘Arrow’ Producer Hints at Major Consequences and More! – ComicCorp News

We’re a little late, but it’s up!

Judge Dredd News – “Mega City One” is going to take some time to get going, according to a new report. Jason Kingsley, a producer on the series, has some sad news for fans as to when it’ll actually air, saying;

Long-form storytelling makes showing Mega-City One and its inhabitants much easier. Trying to fit all of that into a two-hour movie is very hard. My best guess is that it’s at least two years away. But we’re so early in the process that things could happen a bit faster, or much more slowly.

‘Arrow’ May Have Bigger Consequences Than Originally Thought – Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, “Arrow” producer Marc Guggenheim hinted at a much different possibility for the start of “Arrow’s” 6th season, saying;

A lot of the discussion that we’ve had and a lot of the discussion we’ve seen online is very binary — people either live or they’ll die. There are other consequences that can come out of what happened at the end of [Season] 5 [episode] 23. While everyone is focused on one thing, you know us on Arrow, we may be doing something else.

Sony Has Loft Hopes – According to CBR, Shawn Layden believes that “Spider-Man” for the Sony PlayStation 4 could help sell close to 40 million units. This is the quote, courtesy of CBR.

The PS4 is already a success, with 60 million units sold since the console launched three years ago, but one Sony exec believes Spider-Man could be the driving force behind bumping up that number to an even more impressive 100 million. “Well, like I tell my sales guys, the first 60 million is the easy 60 million,” President of Sony Interactive Entertainment America Shawn Layden jokingly said in an interview with Telegraph. “To get to the next one, it’s about how do we grow the pie?…I think the biggest chance we have to broaden that pie is with a game like Spider-Man.”

Quick Hits – “Batman and Harley Quinn” to air in the theaters for one night only on August 14, one day before the digital release. Jurassic World sequel to be dubbed “Fallen Kingdom”. Fan made ‘Justice League’ trailer pairs nicely with Danny Elfman’s “Batman” theme.
