Maryse Done with WWE? SDLive Ratings and Attendance Down and More! – WrestleCorp News

Not a lot of news today. Don’t blame me, blame yourself. Kudos to all of you that realized I was paraphrasing Lance Storm.

SDLive Down in Ratings/Attendance? – The WWE’s struggles continue. While SDLive’s ratings were up, leaping up by 500,000 to 2.597, which is far from the near sub-2 of last week. However, the attendance for all WWE shows continue to be down, as evident of SmackDown’s attendance last night. The venue they were at can hold about 7-8 thousand people for a pro wrestling sell out, yet nearly half of the arena was empty. I’m hearing reports that under 4,000 people were at the event. Now, Dayton is not anywhere near a major market, in fact in the state of Ohio, it’s not even in the top five. Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, and Akron/Kent are all bigger markets and would of done better business, so why they even went there is beyond me. The product has been down for a while but it finally looks like it’s really starting to affect things.

Maryse Done With WWE? – The WWE’s debut of Maria and Mike Kanellis seems to have made Maryse expandable, at least on television. Dave Meltzer speculates that the reason for The Miz acquiring Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas was to give him a new aesthetic outside of just his wife, as the two men will be his “Entourage”. This seems to have written Maryse out of t.v., and possible may have seen the last of her in the company for some time. However, that last part seems unlikely as the WWE could still use her on Total Divas.

Quick Hits – Alberto El Patron feels Pentagon Dark is the next great Lucha star, following in the footsteps of himself, Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero and Mil Mascaras. AJ Styles thinks Shinsuke Nakamura match is going to happen sooner than later. Bobby Roode and Roderick Strong got into a storyline brawl on NXT’s social page.
