WrestleCorp News: #IMPACTOnPOP Results, Mauro Ranallo Update And Indy Promotions Suffering

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s edition of The News!! This is the day where I bring you all of the wrestling news you will ever need for your Friday night. Why would you ever want to go through many websites, searching through various articles when all the news you need is here, on the best website, the top website, the number one website and quite frankly, the only website you will ever need, NerdCorp. Enough nonsense, let’s just get to the news shall we?!?!

#IMPACTonPOP Results – Reno Scum defeated Decay and Laredo Kid & Garza Jr. Braxton Sutter & Allie defeated Sienna & KM. Rosemary defeated Santana Garrett in a non-title match. Andrew Everett defeated Marshe Rockett, Suicide and Gregory Shane Helms. Davey Richards defeated DJ Z. Team Borash (Alberto El Patron, Magnus, Matt Morgan, Chris Adonis) defeated Team Mathews (Lashley, Bram, Eli Drake & Tyrus).

Mauro Ranallo Update – Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE is paying Mauro Ranallo to not talk about his problems with JBL, but it should be noted that a settlement between WWE and Ranallo has not been confirmed yet. Meltzer said that WWE is reportedly working on a settlement which would include a clause that prevents Ranallo from talking publicly about the issues. Ranallo is under contract until August 12 and his current contract doesn’t give him permission to have unauthorized interviews. Personally I would like for him to speak so we can all hear about the evil-ness that is Johnny Boy Joe Bradshaw Layfield.

Indy Promotions Suffer – Wrestling Inc reports that several independent wrestling companies are taking big hits due to a recent change in YouTube policies. The site says that the video site’s tightening down on viewing restrictions has led to companies which rely on YouTube for revenue suffering financially.

As the site notes it, several companies have found success in terms of visibility by putting weekly shows on YouTube, which has allowed them to make money and expand their product. However, due to some controversies regarding non-wrestling videos posted to the service, large advertisers have backed out and Google (who own YouTube) has had to lay down the hammer regarding the viewing restrictions, particularly toward children and teens. The changes are currently being slowly rolled out by Google and with channels having to reach a certain view count before monetization begins, several promotions have taken revenue hits. The site did not specify any specific companies being affected.

NEW DAY…To Return Another Day? – PWInsider reports that there is talk of keeping The New Day off of WWE TV until Kofi Kingston has healed from his ankle injury. The trio were moved to Smackdown recently as part of the Superstar Shake-Up. Kofi is expected to be out for several weeks.
