NerdCorp News: Updates On Kurt Angle, Mauro Ranallo And #WrestleMania 33 Attendance

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s edition of The News!! This is the day where I bring you all of the wrestling news you will ever need for your Saturday night. Why would you ever want to go through many websites, searching through various articles when all the news you need is here, on the best website, the top website, the number one website and quite frankly, the only website you will ever need, NerdCorp. Enough nonsense, let’s just get to the news shall we?!?!

Kurt Angle Update – Kurt Angle has voiced in the past that he will wrestle again in WWE. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted on Twitter that Angle returning to WWE’s squared circle will depend on if he passes the company’s physical. That is where the hopes and dreams of us seeing Kurt in the ring again really hang on. Not saying that I don’t think he will but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t pass.

Mauro Ranallo Update – Mauro Ranallo became more active on Twitter again this week after he recently disappeared from WWE TV. It was reported that tension between JBL and Mauro Ranallo may have contributed to Ranallo taking time off from WWE. Ranallo has also reportedly been dealing with his bi-polar disorder.

In a recent tweet, Ranallo posted a quote from Buddha, saying how the truth cannot be hidden. The tweet seems to be a response to the recent rumors regarding him and JBL. JBL has also been the subject of controversy this week due to claims he stole Justin Roberts’ passport and routinely harassed and terrorized other workers in WWE. Ranallo also seems to have removed being a WWE announcer from his Twitter profile. He also commented that his next announcing gig is a Showtime Boxing event on April 22. In a statement by WWE, the Big E (NOT Langston) mentioned that Mauro Ranallo remains under contract with WWE until August 12, 2017.

Actual WM33 Attendance – WWE announced that this year’s WrestleMania 33 had a live gate of $14.5 million and an attendance of 75,245. However, The Wrestling Observer (via WrestlingInc.com) reports that the actual attendance for the event was significantly lower. According to a report by the Observer Newsletter, the actual paid attendance figure came out to around 63,100. WWE is ALWAYS pulling the strings on the attendance figures for WrestleManias!!
