‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Casts New Villain, “It” Trailer and More! – ComicCorp News

We’re still on the ComicCon hangover, but we did get some interesting news bits today.

Legends of Tomorrow’s New villain – “Legends of Tomorrow” has cast Tracy Ifeachor as Kuasa, the sister of Mari McCabe’s Vixen. The villainous sister will see her first live action portrayal after appearing in the Arrowverse’s animated spin-off, “Vixen”. Kuasa was played by Anika Noni Rose in the animated series, and obviously with the casting of Ifeachor will not reprise the role. The third season will stay true to the animated series, and will pluck her out of the time stream more than likely.

HBO Watchmen Series Update – Which report to believe? The one that says “Watchmen” producer and series ‘creator’ Damon Lindelof hasn’t met with HBO yet about the Watchmen series, or this one; that says the series won’t directly adapt the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons comic.

HBO President Casey Bloys told IGN;

I don’t want to talk too much about it, but Damon is thinking about it in a way exactly as you describe it. Which is, how do you take the material and derive from it a TV show, without making it a literal translation?

Curious. It’ll be interesting to see how fans react to this news, considering how many had issues with Zach Sndyer’s near-perfect adaptation of the original.

‘It’ Trailer – The new trailer for the ‘IT’ remake is out and it’s…it’s something alright. Invoking the feel of “Stranger Things”, the film is schedule to be released on September 8th and will be the first of a two-part film.

Quick Hits – Lupita Nyong’o attended ComicCon as the pink ranger, and no one noticed. Judy Greer will reprise her role as Maggie, Scott Lang’s ex-wife in the new “Ant-Man and The Wasp” film. Chris Pine to star in Patty Jenkins TNT series about the Black Dahlia murder.
