Bryan Booked for WrestleMania 34? Major Match Added to LU/IMPACT Show and More! – WrestleCorp News

Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania? – Daniel Bryan confirmed over the weekend that there are a set of plans that have him in the ring at WrestleMania teaming with Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.  There’s also a version of that angle that doesn’t include him wrestling, it all depends on how things go.  Speaking to The National, Bryan again clarified he’s cleared to return and it’s a matter of when, not if he gets back in the ring.

I don’t know and I don’t think they know. I think it all depends on whether or not I get cleared. As of this moment, as of today, I am not cleared by WWE. I have done everything in my power. Everything they have asked me to and I have gone above and beyond as far as ‘Okay, what doctors do you need me to see. Send me to any doctor you want, any doctor that you want and lets get their feedback on what is going on with me.’ So far every doctor has cleared me that they have sent me too and so there is a chance. I used to think that the percentage of the WWE ever clearing me was low. I think with the stuff that I have done it has gone a little higher but I don’t know how much higher. With how everything is, there is one way to go if I don’t get cleared [storyline wise] and then there is another way to go if I am cleared. I am hoping to be cleared but I don’t know which way it goes.

AJ Styles Injured? – WWE Champion is dealing with an unknown injury according to reports.  Styles was apparently injured in his match at Madison Square Garden, and missed the live events this weekend.  The first inclination was that he got hurt on Friday and it seems to hold some water.  Though no update on what his hinjury is just yet.

Rosemary Talks New Ownership  – Rosemary talked to Interactive Wrestling Radio about Lucha Underground, IMPACT, the Women’s revolution and more.  These are just a few snippets;

Impact Wrestling starting the trend for women with the Knockouts:

Absolutely. As we said, it was TNA that inspired us to become a wrestler and to go out and get trained. Growing up, we played wrestling with our cousins and with our siblings and that was based on watching WWE, WWF at the time. But, it wasn’t until TNA and we found out that Scott D’Amore runs a school that we learned that this was something that we could do, should do, would do, and must do and that Impact was our goal.

The changes Don Callis and Scott D’Amore have brought to Impact thus far:

Positive, very positive. Very much that there is a direction and that there is a clear direction and it is forward.Not backwards! Not stagnant! It is forward! They have ideas and they’re going to implement them. The flow of the show has changed as you’ve mentioned, it has been 4 or 5 weeks into the new regime and it is very much a different feel than it has been for the past year. It is very exciting and it is something that we, and hopefully the rest of the roster and the rest of the fans and anyone who is interested to see the growth of wrestling is something that we want to see where it goes and hope everyone comes along to see as well. If you want a good example, the Global Wrestling Network. It is not just Impact. There is a wonderful archive. There is a wealth of independent promotions that are featured on this Network so that people who perhaps have not had access to these shows before are now seeing how far wrestling reaches and how far it is coming. Growing together is an imcredibly important part of moving forward.

Rey Mysterio Signs Update – Despite news from the Tennessean which claimed that Rey Mysterio had signed with AroLucha and was becoming a co-owner, PWInsider and Dave Meltzer are claiming otherwise.  Apparently both of those outlets are underplaying the deal, claiming that it’s more of a marketing ploy by AroLucha to try and encourage fans to donate money.  Under Obama-Era regulations, companies can collect up to $1 million from unaccredited investors, something AroLucha is hoping to take advantage of.  Mysterio is simply being used as a way to sell the company to potential investors.  Rey is still in talks with the WWE and while a deal isn’t close as of today, many behind the scenes I’m told expect it to be finalized before WrestleMania.

Lucha Underground vs. IMPACT Wrestling – The next match announced for the duel show at WrestleCon will feature IMPACT World Tag Team Champions LAX taking on Da Mack and Killshot, 2/3 of the Lucha Underground Trios Champions.

Quick Hits – Christy St. Cloud has been released from the WWE according to various outlets.  No word on why, the former backstage interviewer was let go.  Congratulations go out to Mark Henry who joins the loaded WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.  Paige sends out cryptic post on Instagram, thanking her fans.   Hillbilly Jim wants his long time friend Hulk Hogan to induct him into the Hall of Fame.  Sami Callihan continues his heel tour, calling out fans and referring himself as the most talked about wrestler in the world for his errant spot with Eddie Edwards.  Edge and Christian will induct The Dudley’s.  Brock Lesnar is set to appear on RAW after being held off for a few weeks.
