MLW Talent Defecting? and More Wrestling News!

Maybe no promotion has been so affected by the sudden influx of money and interest in the pro wrestling scene as the revival of Major League Wrestling.  The promotion shut it’s doors back in the early 00’s and was revived a few years ago with a one-shot that turned into a full-fledged relaunch.  Since then the company has largely been a revolving door for many talent prior to landing on BeIN.  Now though the promotion seems stabilized under Low Ki and the Harts.

Yet issues with PCO, Rush, MVP and others have popped up from time to time and now it’s happening again.  Sammy Guevara who was set to work a series of MLW shows around WrestleMania time has been let go of his obligations due to the wrestler double booking a series of conflicting dates against MLW.  Becaues Guevara wouldn’t be able to work for both companies, MLW opted to let go of Guevara.

Now Guevara and Kylie Rae are expected to sign with All Elite Wrestling.  Yet, this isn’t the first time Guevara has been in the news for being a bit hard to work with.  He’s already bounced around from IMPACT, to PWG, Lucha Underground and currently in AAA where he’s there AAA World Cruiserweight Champion.  Cody Rhodes and company should do a thorough background on the guy before giving him  a deal.

NJPW’s Best Friends, Chuck Taylor and Barreta are expected to finish up with Japanese promotion in the coming weeks, and are expected to sign with AEW as well.

Despite MLW losing talent to ROH and AEW left and right, one promotion they’ve had a soft understanding with is IMPACT Wrestling. Now, that understanding is a full fledged collaborative effort.  The two promotions are running shows on WrestleMania weekend and share a lot of the same talent.  So instead of causing fans issues, or one another, they’ve sat down and mapped out a working strategy for all fans to enjoy both brands.  The full press release on WrestleZone can be found here, with times dates, and all needed information.
