Wrestler Nearly Kills Competitor With a Cinder Block

I have no words for this story, none that will paint the horribly graphic scene with any real tact.  A wrestler competing at a joint Lucha Memes and Lucha Boom show caught his fellow competitor off guard and launched a cinder block into the back of his head, rendering him unconscious immediately, which resulted in him smashing his head on the ground.

The man who was injured is Cuervo, a pro wrestler from Puerto Rico.  During the match, Cuervo was walking on the floor ringside when the man who injured him, Angel o Demonio threw a concrete block at the back of hiss head.  Cuervo was walking away when the brick struck him.

The injury was so severe it caused a blood clot to form in his head.   Luckily though the clot has been removed, according to WrestleZone.

The wrestler’s facebook page is also claiming the same thing; and there appears to be others rallying to put on a show to help him pay for his medical expenses, with Pentagon Jr. being a huge name involved.

Following the incident, Angel o Demonio was suspended by the Boxing and Wrestling Commission of Mexico. Angel threw the cinder block after he believes Cuervo took liberties with a chair earlier in the match.

The video, which is graphic, shows the moment of impact.

Maybe GCW will book him for a future show?

In all seriousness, we here at NerdCorp hope Cuervo makes a full recovery and that Angel never works again.
