Joker Movie Update – Deadline and various other outlets are reporting Jared Leto will star in a Suicide Squad-Joker spinoff film.  Which is interesting, because other outlets are still expressing that the Joaquin Phoenix-Joker film is still happening.  The Phoenix film will feature Todd Phillips as the director, while Leto’s film as no one attached, outside of Leto who is starring and producing the venture.

DC President Fired – So….DC making two Joker films, none of which will feature The Batman, shows you how poorly managed things are right now.  Former DC Entertainment President Diana Nelson was let go due to the failure of Justice League publicly.  The film was so panned, even Joss Whedon seems to be persona non grata at Warner Bros.  She took a leave of absence a few months ago but many assumed she was gone for good.  Dan DiDio, Jim Lee, Geoff Johns and Amit Desai will report to Thomas Gewecke and run the studio in the interim.

Into the Spider-Verse Trailer – The Spider-Verse trailer featuring Miles Morales has debuted, and holy crap, does it look awesome.   My only complaint about the trailer is that 3 second social media preview.  I hate that trend.  That being said, it feels like Wallace and Gromit style humor and animation, with Speed Racer color schemes and just the fastest wit I’ve seen ever.  I was on the fence, but now I’m super over the fucking fence!

Quick Hits – Dave Batista wants to star in the Gears of War film.  The Hashtag show is hinting at Superboy joining DC Universe’s Titans.
