Scott Snyder Talks ‘Justice League’, Death of Superman Gets Full Trailer and More! – ComicCorp News

Scott Snyder Talks New ‘Justice League’ Book – Scott Snyder is taking over one of the flagship books of the DC Comics line in ‘Justice League’, ending a run that saw less than stellar stories from the likes of Christopher Priest and Pete Woods.  He was recently interviewed and talked about his new take on the League, starting with the miniseries ‘No Justice’.

No Justice, to me, is a continuation of Metal, and Justice League is a continuation of both.   When I was starting Metal, I began a two- to three-year plan where I was really pitching to DC, ‘When I finish Metal, I’d really like to take Justice League since it’s open, and once that happens, this is the way I see Justice League going. I’m going to need a bridge.’ Then we came up with No Justice, to create the big, connective neighborhood of books that we would need to tell the story, but that said, this goes for a good two years. This is really the book for me that, if I had a soap opera, if I have a story that I want to retire on as a superhero story, this is the book.

DC Unveils New Trailer – DC has a new upcoming ‘Death of Superman’ animated feature coming to DVD that stars Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Matt Lanter as Aquaman, and Jason O’Mara as Batman, among others.  The movie follows Doomsday’s fight with Superman and the subsequent fallout.

Quick Hits – DC Comics is raising all book prices from $2.99 to $3.99.  No word if they’ll be ending bi-monthly publications.   A new rumor for the upcoming Pokemon game seems to hint at the destruction of Pallet Town, which is submerged now in water.  Fox has cancelled ‘Lucifer’ after three seasons.
