The WWE Can’t Even Apologize About Moolah, Reby Slams Jeff and More! – WrestleCorp News

Moolah is Done – Snickers, and a few other sponsors, put the heels to the WWE so hard that Vince and Stephanie tucked their sharp, pointy tails between their legs and back tracked as hard as possible. In what felt like the WWE’s most juvenile press release ever, we finally have their first comments on the situation saying;

After further consideration, we believe it’s best to proceed with the name ‘WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.’ What remains most important is that this historic match is part of WWE’s unwavering commitment to the Women’s Division.

Snickers was publicly very unhappy today about the whole situation. They’ve released another statement after the name change stating their pleasure over the results.

Stephanie though, just can’t admit they fucked up. Even in their press release, she tries to spin it like it was just a fan poll gone wrong, or that they had issues with loot boxes. Not that they publicly endorsed and supported a suspected sexual trafficer and predator. At no point did the she, the WWE or Vince ever apologize for it. Because why admit you did something wrong when you can just live in denial.

Reby Goes After Jeff – Reby Sky has a history of being the worst. After Jeff got arrested, Matt shamed him in character on Twitter, putting over the fact that he doesn’t do drugs or alcohol anymore….unlike his brother. When one fan spoke up about Jeff in the Broken Universe and his value, Reby essentially brushed off his importance saying;

Matt has busted his ass to get to this point. He & I have been fighting for this to happen for nearly a year. After the hard work & $50k+ in legal fees that *WE* paid, I’m gonna have to say NO. He is not “needed”. Jeff is clearly doing his own thing & it has nothing to do with us right now.

Fight Between Two Former Tag Champs Ends in Arrest – Chase Stevens, formerly of IMPACT Wrestling from the early to mid 00’s, where he won the NWA World Tag Team Championship several times, was arrested after getting into a fight with Brian Christopher (Lawler). Apparently Stevens punched Lawler at a night club, after Lawler was heavily intoxicated and on drugs. The reason for the scuffle is disputed. Stevens apparently caused dental damage and forced Lawler to have surgery. Lawler is wanting to press charges against Stevens.

Because Lawler needed surgery, if only dental, the state and Lawler could pursue felony charges. In Indiana, batter goes from a misdemeanor to a felony if the victim sustained ‘moderate’ bodily injury. Stevens, if found guilty could face anywhere from six months in prisons to 2 and a half years, with a fine of anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000.

Update on LU/IMPACT Match – As mentioned yesterday, Eddie Edwads and Sami Callihan were booked in an I Quit match for WrestleCon.

Today though, we’ve found out that Edwards isn’t facing off with Callihan anymore…sorta. Announced today, Sami Callihan’s alter ego, Jeremiah Crane will instead be in the match. While it’s barely anything more than a name change, it does help to solidify the brand vs. brand match. Also, as noticed, they’re no longer going with the purple overlay and instead will be back to brand specific colors.

Quick Hits – Adam Page is taking on Kota Ibushi at SuperCard of Honor. Despite a photo circulating, John Cena is not up for the new host of the ‘Blues Clues’ revival, and was merely wearing the garb as a skit. WWE is attempting to trademark Samoa Joe’, something Joe has had trademarked for over a decade. Mustafa Ali is expected to win his semi-final match, and should meet Cedric Alexander at WrestleMania 34.
