Major WrestleCon Match Added, Update on Ronda Rousey and More! – WrestleCorp News

Ronda Rousey Update – The WWE received some backlash over Ronda Rousey not being at RAW despite being advertised. Then fans freaked because she was removed from all upcoming RAW advertisements. Well she’s been added to those RAW’s once again, and will be showing up all the way through April 2nd.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Rousey had a decent reason for not being on RAW this week. Apparently, unless you’re the Undertaker, you have to pass physicals to perform. She was out in Pittsburgh getting checked and cleared for action at WrestleMani and beyond.

New Match Added to LU/IMPACT Event – WrestleCon on April 6th is going to be off the hook. Besides the whole six man tag already announced, it was just confirmed that Sami Callihan will take on Eddie Edwards at the event in an I Quit match. What’s cool about this is the color;

For the Lucha vs. IMPACT six man tag, each side is distinguished by their companies primary color.

But with the I Quit match, since Callihan is repping both companies, they changed it to purple. Coincidence? Maybe, but unlikely.

Hardy Update – Jeff Hardy has finished his physical therapy according to his wife Beth, and is supposed to return to the WWE Performance Center to being training for his WWE return, but obviously things are complicated now with Jeff’s DWI arrest. It may be that Jeff is seeking counseling, as Matt Hardy tweeted out about helping others when they’re down, hopefully showing signs that Jeff may be ready to get help. Jeff’s long history of addiction is widely known and heavily documented. I have to imagine that he’ll be seeking treatment for this as well.

Quick Hits – Cedric Alexander will face off for the Cruiserweight Title at WrestleMania after last night’s win over Roderick Strong. SmackDown drew 2.771 million viewers last night, this is the highest ratings since last April. Rey Mysterio revealed that while he’s trying to get Dominic up to Lance Storm’s school in Canada, for the interim Dominic (Rey’s son) is training with Jay Lethal.
