WWE Releases Rich Swann – The WWE have come to a ‘mutual’ parting of ways with Rich Swann. The WWE released a statement saying;

Rich Swann and WWE have mutually agreed to part ways as of today, February 15, 2018. WWE wishes Swann the best in all of his future endeavors.

Swann was arrested and booked on several misdemeanor charges involved with his wife Su Yung (Vannarah Riggs). No word yet on how ‘mutual’ the parting is, as Swann was viewed by the WWE as ‘damaged goods’.

Rusev Talks Aiden English Pairing – Rusev has found a successful second act as a tongue-in-cheek comedy due with Aiden English. Since pairing with him, the duo have gotten over, putting Rusev in the top tier of SmackDown talent, as well as elevating English as well. When asked about the pairig, Rusev revealed that the pairing was supposed to be a one time thing;

I have no idea whose idea it was. It was uh… it was supposed to be a joke, a one-time thing. But then we just hit it off. It was right; the chemistry – and we were playing off each other. The people started loving it since the beginning. So it was a no-brainer for us to be together, for us to keep doing magic.

Rumor on Rey Mysterio – According to The Observer, Rey Mysterio is apparently set on returning to the WWE sometime later this year or in 2019. The WWE have apparently relented and offered him the type of deal he was seeking in regards to dates. I’m told the money is a bit less, but Rey has made his fortune and knows he can make it back on the indy scene. Rey will work a schedule similar to Chris Jericho’s where he’ll come and go when the company and him agree on dates. It won’t be a full exclusive contract, but think more like how IMPACT Wrestling does their deals, where they get priority booking but allow their talent to work anywhere. One would think there’d be a limit on him working domestic promotions like IMPACT or ROH, but that’s just speculation.

IMPACT Airing Big Show – The good folks of IMPACT Wrestling is offering up another great showcase on Twitch the night of the WWE’s Hall of Fame induction. The show will air live on Twitch at 9 and go to 11. The event will feature Austin Aries, LAX, Matt Sydal, Alberto El Patron, Eli Drake, Moose, Rosemary, Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards, The Cult of Lee, Allie, Taya Valkyrie and Teddy Hart. There might be more names announced soon.

In related IMPACT news, the company just announced that their April 22nd show will take place from Universal Studios, in Orlando Florida.

Quick Hits – Former IMPACT Wrestling star Mahabli Shera, known by his real name as Amanpreet Singh, has signed with NXT. It’s been revealed that NJPW has approached Hulk Hogan to appear as a member of the Bullet Club but he wanted $750,000 for the appearance. DDP is set to appear on RAW this week from Phoenix, Arizona.
