‘Supernatural’ News, NJPW Owner Wants to Challenge WWE and More! – Weekend Roundup Super News Post

Supernatural News – “Supernatural” is going to hit 300 episodes next season, which will be the show’s 14th season. While Jared Padalecki once said that the 14th season seems ideal to end on, CW Network President Mark Pedowitz is now going on record saying that the show may surpass 14 seasons, saying;

That show will go on as long as it keeps going, the boys keep doing it and the ratings keep holding.

Supernatural is trying to launch a spinoff and has been for some time, dating back to the episode in season 9 titled “Bloodlines”. Now though, a spinoff is coming and Pedowitz spoke positively of it but tapered fans expectation by saying;

Nothing is perfect but the real question is whether fans will go watch it if the boys aren’t in it. I don’t know but it works, the characters work, Kathryn Newton is a real star, the actress who plays Donna (Briana Buckmaster) is hilarious.

NJPW Owner Wants to Poach WWE Talent – Takaaki Kidani, the man who runs New Japan Pro Wrestling, wants 2018 to be an even bigger year than 2017 and specifically mentions wanting to be able to pay talent more, in order to get them to leave the WWE and come to work for them. The end game is to get the WWE to “get along” with NJPW presumably and stop taking NJPW’s biggest talents. He’s quoted as saying;

With rising numbers Kidani said NJPW will be able to pay more money to wrestlers and he wants to get more wrestlers with a relationship WWE involved in New Japan. He says he’s going to do that until “the other side” says: ‘Let’s get along.’

It needs to be noted that he does not want to work with the WWE, but merely wants them to stop trying to take talent from them. Many headlines are misrepresenting the quote in headlines to imply a working relationship. That is not what’s being said here.

Christie Hemme Update – Well, this is going to be one hell of a day. Christy Hemme delivered four babies on January 6th, ending a pregnancy that was causing some major concerns. The four newborns are all said to be healthy, so that’s fantastic news.

Not so fantastic news; the four babies, and her previous girl Charlie, born two years ago, now all share the same birthday. I don’t want to have to explain to her when she’s older why that’s the case. But still, congrats to you, Christy.

Quick Hits – “Sabrina” went to Netflix over CW due to the extra guaranteed season. Netflix gave them two, while CW only gave one to start. Jay White is the newest member of CHAOS. iZombie is returning February 26th at 9/8 central. Enzo Amore put over Neville as being a true pro, due to Neville working later than most thanks to 205Live.
