Mega Man on Switch, Pay Per View Let’s Plays,Day Z Release Date, Voice Commands coming to Destiny 2 and More! – Gamecorp News

Hey everybody, this is my first attempt at a weekly news post. Without wasting anymore time, let’s check what’s going on in the world of video games.

Mega Man On Switch- During the 30th anniversary Mega Man Livestream Capcom announced that Mega Man 11 is currently in development. It will release on all major consoles, including the Nintendo Switch, late next year. They also announced that both legacy collection titles will come out on the Switch too, but no release date has been given yet. Another collection for all of the games in the X series will release on the system during Summer 2018 as well.

Pay Per View Let’s Play-  A Twitch streamer who goes by the name of AJ Lester broadcasted the most recent Ultimate Fighting Championship Pay Pey View, UFC 218, on Twitch recently by pretending it was a let’s play. He was shown on the bottom right corner of the screen, controller in hand, commenting on the event as if he was actually playing it. The video has since been taken down from the site. No legal action has been pursued against him at this time.

My thoughts- While I never condone someone doing something illegal in any way what so ever, the fact that this was so easy for him to pull off just shows that certain rules need to be put in place to prevent it from happening again in the future.

DayZ gets a release date- After being in development for over five years now, the zombie survival game DayZ finally has a  tentative release date. Bohemia interactive announced that it will leave early access sometime in 2018. Hopefully more info as to exactly when it will come out will be announced in the near future, but for now that’s all we know.

Voice Commands in Destiny 2- Apparently Bungie or Activision has decided to partner up with Amazon to incorporate the voice of the Amazon echo, Alexa, into Destiny 2. Players will be able to have her tell your AI character, Ghost, to equip your weapon loadout, provide players with the history behind why the events in the game took place, call for backup in multiplayer matches, and so on. A replica of ghost with this feature enabled will be available for $90 on December 19th as well.

My thoughts- Anybody looking to implement voice commands into a game like this, I have one word for you, Kinect. Good luck with that.

Quick hits- Speed run record for GoldenEye on N64 beaten by 1 second, Square Enix plans to continue support for FFXV into 2018, FIFA players use in game exploit to keep them from losing matches, and two companies argue over the rights to a 27 year old DOS game.
