Will ‘Defenders’ Remain on Netflix? Levi’s Role in “Ragnarok” Cut Even Shorter? – ComicCorp News

Disney and Netflix Not Separating? – The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Ted Sarandos, the CCO of Netflix has essentially said that Disney isn’t getting “The Defenders” back so easily. He’s being quoted as saying

What Disney going direct to consumer means, I don’t really know and I’m not positive that they do either. They’ve created some really killer brands. It’s not that exclusive… Netflix has the Defenders.

The article seems to imply and that the deal between Disney and Netflix is pretty iron clad, indicating that when Disney launches their own brand, Netflix will somehow retain the rights to the Defenders.

Zachary Levi Speaks on “Shazam!” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” – Zachary Levi was at the Heroes and Villains FanFest recently and revealed that his role in “Thor: Ragnarok” was limited to only one line that was left on the cutting room floor, saying;

For those of you who have watched the movie, you see that Cate Blanchett comes out and she very just willy-nilly throws some knives of demonic purpose, I don’t know, they’re evil knives impaling both me and Volstagg, killing us instantly. The end.

What is on the cutting room floor is me charging at Hela and getting impaled and going ‘For Asgard.’ No s#!t, I had my last line, my last words in the Marvel Universe were ‘For Asgard.’ Cutting room floor.

He also goes on to talk about his expectations for Shazam!, saying;
James Gunn and the gang killed it. It brought so much heart and humor and yeah, I think it was kind of like this dark horse that took everybody by storm and I think Shazam kind of has the possibility to do that because Shazam’s not, for all intents and purposes, not Supes it’s not Batman, it’s not Wonder Woman, it’s not what people [expect.]
