Why would you ever want to go through many websites, searching through various articles when all the news you need is here, on the best website, the top website, the number one website and quite frankly, the only website you will ever need, NerdCorp. Enough nonsense, let’s just get to the news shall we?!?!

#IMPACTonPOP Results – Sonjay Dutt & Matt Sydal defeated Low Ki & Trevor Lee. Eli Drake and Chris Adonis defeated The Mumbai Cats. Swoggle defeated Rockstar Spud in a Mumbai Street Fight Braxton Sutter, Allie and Rosemary defeated KM, Laurel Van Ness and Sienna. Alberto El Patron, James Storm, Eddie Edwards and Mahabali Shera defeated Kongo Kong, Davey Richards, EC3 and Lashley.

IMPACT/GFW Update – The Tenneseean reports that the company is killing off the Impact Wrestling name and is rebranding to Global Force Wrestling. Impact officially bought the rights to GFW earlier in the week now that GFW founder Jeff Jarrett had come back to power in Impact and the plan is to use the GFW name going forward.

GFW’s weekly PopTV television show will continue to be called “Impact”. Anthem Sports remains the owner of the company and the offices for the company will remain in Nashville, Tennesee. Jeff Jarrett had the following to say about the name change…

“We’re a global brand, we have partnerships in Mexico, Japan, other places. Collectively coming together, we’ve combined forces and basically the rebrand final touches happen (on Sunday) at ‘Slammiversary.”

Kurt Angle Update – Channel Guide Magazine interviewed Kurt Angle for a new interview. Here is what he had to say about a WWE in-ring return…

“If that occurs, there is a lot of talent. There is talent I would like to revisit again like Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, definitely. When I wrestled Triple H last time I had just started. I didn’t consider myself very good back then. So I think we would have a much, much better match right now. I’d love to get Samoa Joe or AJ Styles in a WWE ring. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Sheamus. Even some of the 205 guys like Austin Aries and Neville. There is a lot of great talent right now. I would love to be able to mix it up with them. Hopefully, eventually it will happen down the line.”

Josh Barnett Speaks – Wrestling Inc reports that during a media conference call to promote the New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 specials (from Long Beach, California), Josh Barnett spoke about Mauro Ranallo’s return to WWE. Here are highlights…

“Well if he’s going back, he must feel that it is worthwhile to do so. And I don’t know all of the details of everything that was going on with him in WWE. But if people were bullying him or messing with him or what have you, I’m mean that’s just bulls–t. And it’s completely unnecessary. I know that can happen but it doesn’t make it right.”
