Wonder Woman Banned Again, Iconic British Show Getting American Reboot and More! – ComicCorp News (Double Day Edition)

Greetings and good vibes all. Sorry about yesterday, had a 24 hour bug that was no bueno. However, I’m good today, so lets get into the double decker drop of news.

Wonder Woman Banned Again – You can add Tunisia to the list of countries that refuse to show “Wonder Woman” due to Gal Gadot’s Israeli heritage. The apparent issue is over the fact that Gadot is called in a lawsuit a “champion Zionist.” This is the official word from the Tunisian Assn. of Young Lawyers. This falls in line with an Algerian film festival pulling the film, and a country wide ban in Lebanon.

‘Misfits’ Reboot in the Works – E4’s “Misfits” will be making its way stateside thanks to “iZombie” executive producer Dian Ruggiero-Wright. The show so far will star Ashleigh LaThrop, Tre Hall, Allie MacDonald and Jake Cannavale. A fifth lead is still being looked for. The series will premiere on Freeform. The series featured five teenagers working community service, when they were struck by lighting and given superpowers.

Where Does ‘The Gifted’ Fall in X-Men Cannon? – Stephen Moyer talked to eTalk recently and revealed to them where he believes the show falls in the X-Men universe cannon.

Within the X-Men films, we’re sort of not allied to them or positioned within that,” he said. “There are obviously mutant characters that have a place in the comic books. Some of them are different, some of them are sort of related in some way. But in terms of timeline, because obviously we just had Logan, which was a lot further forward, and obviously Legion, which is a lot further back. So we definitely slot into a timeline, but as of yet, we’re not allied. I think they have given themselves a lot of leeway in order to be able to go places, but we’ve enough story within our universe to propel us forward without having to do that.
