RAW Dips to Record Low, HHH Announces New Tournament, Matt Hardy Won’t Shut Up and More! – WrestleCorp News

I long for the day the WWE fires the Hardy’s after their next scandal. Can’t this family just be professional? Is it that hard….y? HA!

RAW’s Poor Showing – Despite having all the talent in the world, RAW continues to be a bore. So much show that the show is down to a record low for 2017, with barely 2.6 million viewers. This was of course up against an NBA playoff game that was a blowout, to complete a sweep of a series that no one expected San Antonio to win, not after game one. Two reality shows about wives beat RAW. Let that sink in, not even the superstar they’re married to, but their wives, beat RAW.

Triple H Announces Mae Young Classic – Despite never winning a championship in the company, and needing 50 years to get into the Hall of Fame, Mae Young was the wrestler that Triple H decided to honor with the new “Mae Young Classic”, a 32 woman, single elimination wrestling tournament. There’s a lot of people this could of been done for, especially Fabulous Moolah. Hell, I’d of taken a Mae and Moolah or Moolah and Mae or Mae Moolah tournament, held in May for cash. But nope. Mae’s a legend in her own right, but not above Moolah. Especially with company history in mind. I would of just kept the name to something simple, like Queen of the Ring. Or “WWE Women’s Mat Classic”.

Matt Hardy’s Bogus Claim – Matt Hardy likes to hit Impact Wrestling with things like his son and father-in-law not having contracts during the “Broken Era”, but don’t want you, the fans at home, to realize that was never Anthem’s fault. That was solely on Matt, Jeff and Reby Hardy. Matt though wants to remind you, the WWE sheeple, that Anthem and TNA “never paid a penny” despite promising to. That’s on Dixie Carter, yet he tweets at Anthem. Shocking. This comes two days after Ed Nordhalm came out an said they own the IP to the Broken Universe, and Reby and her wife Matt are taking to Twitter to again dispute these claims. Either put up Reby or shut up, because you’re just a wind bag at this point.

Christian’s Bizarre Almost Gimmick – On the E&C Pod of Awesomeness…fuck this job…Christian revealed the bizarre, yet kind of interesting idea for a gimmick, saying;

I remember I had almost in WWE, this is pretty funny actually, so The Rock had been going off doing movies and stuff like that. Yeah, I think he’s doing alright for himself, from what I understand. So he was starting to go off and do movies, so he was taking extended periods of time off. So he was doing a little thing with Goldberg and I can’t remember exactly how it came about, but they kind of slotted me in to be Rock’s spokesman, I had a little one-on-one backstage meeting with The Rock and he kind of anointed me, like, his favorite wrestler, trying to pump me up, but unbeknownst to me, he was trying to get me to take a bullet for him with Goldberg, was the backstory. Right? So when he wasn’t there I was kind of doing his talking as ‘The Rock’s Favorite Wrestler’ and I took upon myself to do The Rock’s work for him.

One day, I get home and I get this call [from WWE creative]. They’re like, ‘hey, they kind of want you to do this thing where you think you become The Rock.’ And I was like, ‘what?’ ‘Yeah, so basically, we want you to kind of do the eyebrow thing, maybe cut your hair real short,’ and, I had long hair at this point. Did I? Yes, I did. ‘What if you cut your hair real short? And, you know, The Rock wears black, so you’ll wear white and you’re going to use all of his catchphrases and you’re gonna act like The Rock and pretend you’re The Rock and you’re going to be The Rock, but we’re not going to call you The Rock.’ I was like, ‘okay…’ No, [they were not going to call him The Boulder as Edge asked]. They were going to call me, are you ready or this? Wait for it, wait for it, they were going to call me The Lock. The L-O-C-K, Lock because anytime I went to the ring, it was a lock I was going to win.

Quick Hits – Cedric Alexander to return tonight on 205 Live. The Rock ushers in highest watched SNL season finale in six years, with 8.3 million viewers. Steel Cage match for the RAW tag team titles have been added to Extreme rules.
