They Get an ‘A’
Killer Kross is the face of the franchise and one of the best workers on the brand; hence his world title reign. MLW is keen on giving guys a second chance, and arguably no one has made that work more than Austin Aries. While far from a good worker, Shotzi is all over the product in entertaining ways.
They Get a ‘B’
Contract issues have scuttled The Skyscrapers, but they were the team to beat all year. A heel turn has revitalized KUSHIDA. There’s all the potential in the world in Zamaya, who has already embraced a big role on the roster. One loss is all that mars Joe Coffey ahead of an eventful fall. Templario, middleweight champ and one of the most exciting guys on the roster. He’s seemingly done with MLW, but Mistico had a great first half before leaving for AEW. Trevor Lee won the inaugural Southern Crown championship.
They Get a ‘C’
Matt Riddle remains around the main event scene, but he’s skirting by on name value at this point. She hasn’t had a good match yet, but Scarlett Bordeaux has a chance to prove she’s worth being used as a wrestler more often. They can put on a decent match still, but The Good Brothers are surviving on an outdated gimmick. He became one half of the tag team champions, but Josh Bishop didn’t have any defining wins in the year. Mark Coffey is winning more than he’s losing as part of a highly pushed stable. A newcomer on the scene, LaBron Kazone is showing huge potential. Alex Hammerstone has fallen off a bit in the ring and is making more headlines for his questionable social media than his actual in-ring skills. Far from a great worker, Paul Walter Hauser gives you a show every night he steps in the ring. He’s not winning a lot, but fans are very excited for Diego Hill.
They Get a ‘D’
Despite a big press release upon her signing, Lady Frost continues to lose. No one is excited for Wolfgang. Even though he’s pushed a lot: Ikuro Kwan‘s biggest claim is CONTRA’s longest-serving wrestler. Okumura may have rejuvenated his career as a member of CONTRA. A good worker, but Alan Angels doesn’t offer much currently.
They Get an ‘F’
Priscilla Kelly is still looking for her first win. Beastman is on the roster….
They Get an ‘Incomplete’ – Due to injuries or time off, they did not log enough time to warrant a grade.
Satoshi Kojima, Titan, and Ultimo Guerrero all have wrestled too little this year.
