205Live Sees Major Changes, Andre’s Battle Royal Getting a Push and More! – WrestleCorp News

205Live Changes – Take this as both a good and bad sign, but Vince McMahon has stepped away from 205Live altogether. On one hand, this could be seen as the possible end of the division. After all, if Vince no longer cares then what’s keeping him from cancelling it? However, Vince may just recognize (which would be a first), that his idea for the show isn’t working. Vince was working on bringing out the talent’s character but now with Triple H taking over, the onus is now about the in ring work.

Vince agreed to Triple H taking over two weeks ago. Jonathan Baeckstrom is working with HHH on the show, and has been with the company since 2013, while producer of the series Adam Perace remains with the brand. They expect to have more house shows going forward as well, but after the series is officially rebooted under Triple H’s vision.

Andre the Giant Battle Royal Getting Big Push? – It’s a throwaway match on WrestleMania, designed to get guys paydays who normally wouldn’t. It’s not great. However, you might just get more of it. According to PWInsider, the WWE is discussing about raising the profile of the Battle Royal as it enters its fifth year. The reasoning behind this has to do with the HBO special about Andre. Since the match started, Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley have all won the event.

Quick Hits – AXS TV has announced that NJPW’s “Strong Style Evolved” will air from Long Beach live on the network. John Cena is writing a book called Elbow Grease, a story that features an anthropomorphic monster truck.
