WrestleCorp Quick Hits: IMPACT Star Wants in on WWE Tournament, Jim Ross’ Future and More!

IMPACT Wrestling just signed Jordynne Grace to a two year deal a few weeks back.  This is seemingly confirmed by her in a new interview with Fightful.com.  In the interview she states that she can’t do much outside of indy dates for the next couple of years.  This was in response to her being asked if she’ll compete in the Mae Young Classic.  She goes on to say;

Of course, but it seems to not be in the cards for me for at least the next couple of years.

I currently have an ankle injury on the mend, after wrestling for several weeks on a sprain. Finally taking a good amount of time off. Until around February, I am only going to be doing previously booked UK dates (Progress, PCW, EVE) and Impact tapings. It has been a whirlwind of a year, and I need some self-care time to get ready for 2019, which I imagine will be an even crazier year than this one was.

Joey Ryan announced at the Major League Wrestling event out of Chicago tonight that he has a torn pectoral.  He’s expected to miss time and will probably need surgery.  Ryan took to Twitter after the event and psoted a formal announcement, saying;

While under contract with the WWE, Jim Ross won’t be fore long.  The Wrestling Observer claims that Ross’ deal is up in early 2019.  Ross signed a deal with the WWE in 2017 (for some reason) and was allowed to work with AXS and New Japan Pro Wrestling during the contract due to the preexisting contract.  Ross will be off television from the start of the year until the end of March, due to his NJPW/AXS deal expiring at the end of this year, and Ross being legally unable to re-sign with them until his deal with WWE is done.
