Konnan returning to the ring – After hip replacement, a kidney replacement and a history of medical issues, Mexican legend and IMPACT Wrestling manager will wrestle in Major League Wrestling’s 40-Man Battle Riot match. He joins PCO (Pierre Carl Ouellet), Swoggle and Lance Anoa’i in the match. Hell also return to the radio show MLW Radio: The Flagship.
PWG First Ten Announced – Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has announced the first ten men to enter the annual Battle of Los Angeles event. Those first ten men are Robbie Eagles, David Starr, Rey Horus, Chris Brookes, Joey Janela, Puma King, PCO (Pierre Carl Oulette), Brody King, Jody Fleish, Ilja Dragunov.
Sami Zayn Injured – Sami Zayn’s supposed minor injuries are far more serious than that. Apparently Zayn went down to Birmingham, Alabama to have surgery on BOTH his rotator cuffs. The injury is expected to keep Zayn out of action well into 2019.
Australian Promotion Airing Super Card – The Australian promotion World Series of Wrestling will present a live event dubbed International Assault: Best of the Best on Sunday morning via FITE TV. The good folks at PWInsider is apparently offering the show for free if you sign up through them. The event will air live at 5 a.m. EST from the Dom Pulski Center in Adelaide, Australia. Why Hasn’t Aldis Signed With WWE? – Nick Aldis is a three time world champion in three different promotions so far in his career. He’s held the GFW World, IMPACT World and now is currently the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He’s currently set for All In, where he’s taking on Cody Rhodes for the ROH World Championship (if Cody wins the belt, otherwise it’s expected that he’ll face whoever the champion is). With everyone seemingly on the WWE radar these days, it’s curious why he’s not been linked to the promotion. When Aldis was interviewed by Digital Spy, he revealed why he oped to take on the responsibilities of the NWA Title, saying;
I basically said that I hadn’t gotten anywhere with WWE, and, you know, there’s a myriad of reasons why that could potentially be the case, no-one really gives you a straight answer there anyway. I’ve heard a few different versions of it, but I wedged to see if it was something that I wanted to see where it could have went.
