According to Production Weekly, the upcoming third Ghostubsters film will be called Rust City, for at least the production of the film. It’s not uncommon for films to have different titles, one for production while a theatrical title is worked on throughout the film. Theatrical titles are often micro-analyzed in order to best illicit a casual fan’s to go see the film. To alongside the news of Ghostbusters 3: Rust City, Exhibitor Relations Co. on Twitter revealed a loose date for July 10th, 2020.

The same twitter outlet from above is now reporting that July of 2020 is going to be busy. The Sony film tentatively titled ‘Morbius’ is set for a July 21st, 2020 release date. The film is a spin-off/sequel/off-shoot of the current Venom-verse. The two films are expected to be part of a shared universe but that isn’t exactly confirmed as of yet. Jared Leto is set for the role of the titular vampire, Morbius.
